Research Findings The aim of this study was to examine associations between two aspects of teachers’ occupational well-being, i.e., teaching-related stress and work engagement, and the quality of teacher–child interactions in Finnish kindergarten classrooms. Participants were 47 kindergarten teachers with their classrooms of 6-year-old children. Teacher–child interactions (i.e., emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support) were observed twice during the kindergarten year (fall and spring), using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS). The impact of consumer local engagement on local store patronage and customer satisfaction

This paper examines the drivers of local grocery retail patronage. Drawing on institutional and social network theory literature, we develop a framework to investigate how consumers’ personal values and engagement with local communities affect their satisfaction and local store patronage. We test our model with survey data on 1504 Finnish consumers. Our results show that the relationship between customer local engagement and local retail patronage is indirect rather than direct, and it is mediated by the vitality of local services, social interaction, and consumer satisfaction.

Diplomdarba temats ir “Leksiski gramatiskie traucējumu bērniem ar valodas sistēmas nepietiekamu attīstību vecumā no 9 līdz11 gadiem. ” Diplomdarba mērķis ir teorētiski pamatot un praktiski pierādīt leksiski gramatisko traucējumu korekcijas iespējas skolēniem no 9 līdz 11 gadu vecumam ar valodas sistēmas nepietiekamu attīstību. Darbs sastāv no 93.lpp., anotācijām latviešu un angļu valodā, ievada, 4 nodaļām, nobeiguma, no literatūras un avotu saraksta ar 48 vienībām. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kāda ir jauniešiem piemītošo vērtību saistība ar jauniešu apmierinātību ar dzīvi. Tāpēc pētījuma ietvaros tika izvirzīts jautājums: “kā jauniešiem piemītošās vērtības korelē ar jauniešu apmierinātību ar dzīvi?” Pētījumā piedalījās 132 jaunieši (98 jaunietes un 34 jaunieši) vecumā no 19-25 gadiem. Kinetics of phase separation in thin films: Lattice versus continuum models for solid binary mixtures

A description of phase separation kinetics for solid binary (A,B) mixtures in thin film geometry based on the Kawasaki spin-exchange kinetic Ising model is presented in a discrete lattice molecular field formulation. It is shown that the model describes the interplay of wetting layer formation and lateral phase separation, which leads to a characteristic domain size $\ell(t)$ in the directions parallel to the confining walls that grows according to the Lifshitz-Slyozov $t^{1/3}$ law with time $t$ after the quench.
