INTERNAL CROSSED MODULES AND PEIFFER CONDITION
2010
In this paper we show that in a homological category in the sense of F. Borceux and D. Bourn, the notion of an internal precrossed module corresponding to a star-multiplicative graph, in the sense of G. Janelidze, can be obtained by directly internalizing the usual axioms of a crossed module, via equivariance. We then exhibit some sufficient conditions on a homological category under which this notion coincides with the notion of an internal crossed module due to G. Janelidze. We show that this is the case for any category of distributive Omega(2)-groups, in particular for the categories of groups with operations in the sense of G. Orzech.
Refraktīvās operācijas ReLex SMILE inducētās sfēriskās aberācijas
2015
Pacientu vidējais vecums bija 27 gadi (no 21 - 37 g.).
2002
Title: Secondary students' visions about the interactions between Science, Technology and Society. Abstract: In this work it is approached how the incorporation of contents and aspects of STS relationship has taken place in the new curricula of sciences of the secondary and the high school, as well as some of their repercussions in the process of teaching and learning of sciences in these educational levels. There are shown some first results of the perceptions of secondary students about the STS interactions and they are compared with the ones obtained with students of the previous educational system. Keywords: STS education, scientific and technological literacy, civic formation, taking o…
EtG Quantification in Hair and Different Reference Cut-Offs in Relation to Various Pathologies: A Scoping Review
2022
Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) is a non-volatile, non-oxidative, hydrophilic, and stable ethanol phase II metabolite. EtG is produced through ethanol glucuronidation by UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT), a phase II enzyme. EtG can be extracted from different biological matrices, including keratin ones, such as hair or nails. The purpose of this scoping review is to describe the relationship between EtG levels in hair and some of the most common and frequent pathological conditions and verify whether different reference cut-offs in relation to various pathologies have been identified in the scientific literature. In fact, in-depth knowledge of the influence of pathologies, such as diabetes mellitus…

Efficacy and safety of photodynamic therapy with RLP068 for diabetic foot ulcers: a review of the literature and clinical experience
2020
This article is the second part of a literature review concerning diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and the use of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (PDT). PDT involves the topical application of a photosensitiser into the tissue, followed by illumination that induces the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). PDT provides bacterial inactivation and promotes wound healing, and it can be used to manage the infection and microbial colonisation of DFUs. It has pivotal advantages in comparison with chemotherapeutics, such as no potential to induce resistance, and a wide spectrum of activity. Tetracationic Zn(II) phthalocyanine derivatives have been developed for PDT. Among these, we would like …
