Reliable memory acquisition is essential to forensic analysis of a cyber-crime. Various methods of memory acquisition have been proposed, ranging from tools based on a dedicated hardware to software only solutions. Recently, a hypervisor-based method for memory acquisition was proposed (Qi et al., 2017; Martignoni et al., 2010). This method obtains a reliable (atomic) memory image of a running system. The method achieves this by making all memory pages non-writable until they are copied to the memory image, thus preventing uncontrolled modification of these pages. The liquid argon calorimeter is a key component of the ATLAS detector installed at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The primary purpose of this calorimeter is the measurement of electron and photon kinematic properties. It also provides a crucial input for measuring jets and missing transverse momentum. An advanced data monitoring procedure was designed to quickly identify issues that would affect detector performance and ensure that only the best quality data are used for physics analysis. Variation in the TonB-dependent outer-membrane proteins in plant-associated strains of Pseudomonas fluorescens

International audience; Genomic sequences of ten strains of plant-associated Pseudomonas spp. were surveyed for the presence of TonB-dependent outer-membrane proteins (TBDPs), which function in the uptake of substrates from the environment by many Gram-negative bacteria. The ten strains represent P. fluorescens, P. chlororaphis, and P. synxantha isolated from the phyllosphere, rhizosphere or soil. 14 to 45 TBDPs were identified in each strain, and phylogenetic analysis of the TBDPs identified five that are conserved across all ten genomes. Comparisons to proteins with known functions allowed the assignment of putative roles in uptake of heme, vitamin B12, copper, and the siderophore ferrich…

Les acquisitions de sociétés à l'aide d'un holding endetté, ou leverage buy-outs (LBO), ont connu un essor remarquable aux Etats-Unis (depuis les années 1970) et en Europe (à partir des années 1980). Ces opérations permettent aux acquéreurs (capital-investisseurs, personnes physiques...), de conserver ou d'acquérir le contrôle de la société visée tout en minimisant leurs apports en fonds propres. La première partie de cet article est consacrée aux montages de ces opérations et à la mobilisation des effets de leviers juridiques et financiers. Après une présentation du marché français des LBO, la seconde partie étudie l'évolution de la performance de la cible et la longévité de ces opérations.

Diplomdarba mērķis ir pārbaudīt kinestētiskās iesildīšanās uzdevumus vārdu krājuma apguvei angļu valodas stundās 5.klasē. Šāda diplomdarba tēma bija izvēlēta, jo autore uzskata, ka mācot 10-11 gadus vecus skolēnus, iesildīšanās uzdevumus jāizmanto vairāk, jo tie rada pozitīvu un draudzīgu atmosfēru klasē. Turklāt, skolēni tiek iesaistīti fiziskās aktivitātēs, un šīs aktivitātes ļauj skolēniem komunicēt no stundas sākuma radot jautrību, tādējādi rosinot un uzturot viņu interesi par angļu valodas mācīšanos aizraujošā veidā.
