Bi-2212 and Y123 highly curved single-crystal-like objects: whiskers, bows and ring-like structures

High-temperature superconducting objects of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Y Ba2Cu3O7 highly curved in the ab-plane, such as curved/kinked whiskers, bows and ring-like structures, were obtained within a solid?liquid?solid (SLS) grass-like growth mechanism. As-grown objects are crystals with three-dimensional epitaxy similar to conventional single crystals: they can be viewed as crystal parts ?cut? from a conventional rectangular crystal. Between our curved objects and conventional crystals, whiskers or thin films there are some differences in the superconducting properties induced only by the shape factors and no new physics is observed. Realization of time-resolved two-vacuum-ultraviolet-photon ionization

International audience; Ultrafast dynamics of excited molecules is studied through time-resolved two-vacuum-ultraviolet (vuv)- photon ionization using a nonlinear volume autocorrelator unit. The two-vuv-photon process is induced by the intense fifth harmonic radiation of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser. In a proof-of-principle experiment, ultrafast dynamics of excited ethylene and oxygen molecules are investigated. Molecular decay times are deduced by comparing the experimental data with the results of a numerical model that accounts for the spatial and temporal characteristics of the harmonic field. Aims: To assess and compare the optical quality of the myopic and hyperopic implantable collamer lens (ICL) from its wavefront aberrations for different powers and pupil diameters. Settings and Design: Prospective study. Material and Methods: The wavefront aberrations of two myopic (−3 and −6 diopters (D)) and two hyperopic V4b ICLs (+3 and +6D) were measured in vitro . Stimula kontrasta un virziena ietekme uz sakādisko acu kustību parametriem

Darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 41 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 25 attēlus, 2 tabulas, 3 pielikumus un 46 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt stimula kontrasta un virziena ietekmi uz sakāžu parametriem (sakādisko acu kustību latences, precizitātes un maksimālā ātruma rādītājiem). Pētījumā piedalījās 15 dalībnieki (no 21 līdz 29 gadiem). Acu kustibas tika pierakstītas ar Tobii Pro Fusion acu kustību pieraksta iekārtu (250Hz). Sakādisko acu kustību stimuli ar dažādiem kontrasta līmeņiem tika demonstrēti uz četriem dažādiem foniem četros dažādos virzienos. Darba mērķis bija izstrādāt mazā svilpja populācijas sastopamības ierobežojošos faktorus atspoguļojušu matemātisku modeli teritorijā, kur lauksaimniecības zemes nav dominējošās, izmantojot iegūto modeli, veikt sugas sastopamības prognozēšanu pētījumu teritorijā.
