This paper evaluates the effect of the channel estimation inaccuracy on the performance of an HSDPA system. This study provides some results from system level simulations that have been conducted over a very complete dynamic simulator which models an HSDPA system full compliant with specifications. This emulator allows performing multi-user transmission and link adaptation with a limited modulation and coding scheme (MCS) selection based on the channel quality indicator (CQI) modes. Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) in LTE networks is commonly employed to improve system throughput by ensuring more reliable transmissions. Most of existing AMC methods select the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) using pre-computed mappings between MCS indexes and channel quality indicator (CQI) feedbacks that are periodically sent by the receivers. Several studies in the field of international entrepreneurship have indicated the inadequacy of public policy support for new ventures and called for more tailored training programs. This paper introduces a training program created for new ventures in Central Finland and analyzes its benefits and shortcomings using a qualitative case study. The findings reveal that the training program provided useful knowledge on how to develop a business further and how to make it understandable and attractive to a funder. Abstract We studied interannual variability and changes over time in selected climate indices in the reindeer management area (RMA) in northern Finland. We present together the knowledge possessed by reindeer herders with information from meteorological measurements over three decades. Common-garden experiments suggest that the response of Atlantic cod larvae to temperature differs among populations that spawn at different times of year.
