The paper studies the mechanisms that govern the interactions between the entrepreneur (novice or expert) and the specific investors of emerging firms (business angels (BAs) and venture-capital firms (VCs)). Combining both literatures on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial finance, our aim is to understand if the rationalities of these three actors help them or not to interact, and, to study how they influence each other during the firm's growth. The evolution of the methods for execution of the custodial penalty demonstrates changes in the treatment of convicts. In the historically oldest systems, the aspect of subjectivity of convicts was completely omitted in favour of their complete isolation (objectification), which resulted in the lack of corrective effects. It was only later that the system of progression in its various forms was adopted, which allowed strengthening of the convicts’ position by appreciation of their work and education as well as gradual mitigation of the effects of prison isolation. Public services offered are tangible, mostly non-IT-critical, and heavily dependent on human resources. Information management is mainly manual in strategy and management processes. Oral glutathione increases hepatic glutathione and prevents acetaminophen toxicity

Administration of oral glutathione (GSH) increases hepatic GSH levels in fasted rats, in mice treated with GSH depletors such as diethylmaleate and in mice treated with high doses of paracetamol. An increase in hepatic GSH levels after administration of oral GSH does not occur in animals treated with buthionine suphoximine, an inhibitor of GSH synthesis. Administration of oral GSH leads to an increase in the concentration of L-cysteine, a precursor of GSH, in portal blood plasma. Oral administration of L-methio-nine to fasted rats produced a significant decrease of hepatic ATP, but not in fed rats. Vicenin-2 (apigenin-6,8-di-C-β-d-glucopyranoside) is present in hydroalcoholic extracts of the Brazilian species Lychnophora ericoides Mart., Asteraceae, leaves, and the biological effects of this compound have been demonstrated including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-tumor effects in rat models. The EU still has a democratic deficit and its legitimacy is strongly questioned. This reveals the importance of citizenship and participation in the context of the challenges the EU faces today. The article contributes to the current discussions on the shifting frameworks of participation and citizenship through empirical research into the EU’s participatory governance. It asks how participation is framed in terms of scale and how these scalar framings are used to formulate citizenship in selected projects funded by the EU programmes on citizenship and culture.
