This study evaluated the incidence, diagnosis, and risk factors of upper extremity injuries requiring hospitalization in a large cohort of Finnish conscripts during a 5-year period. Liekais svars un aptaukošanās pazemina dzīves kvalitāti un ir par iemeslu daudzām saslimšanām: diabētam, koronārajām sirds slimībām, onkoloģiskajām saslimšanām, metabolajam sindromam. Pētījuma mērķis ir izvērtēt uztura, fiziskās aktivitātes (FA) un miera vielmaiņas intensitātes (RMR) korelāciju ar ķermeņa tauku masu jaunu, pieaugušu, klīniski veselu cilvēku grupā. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizēta izmeklējamo personu 3 dienu uztura dienasgrāmata, fiziskā aktivitāte noteikta ar anketēšanas metodi, veikti antropometriskie mērījumi un reģistrēta miera vielmaiņas intensitāte ar netiešās kalorimetrijas metodi. The psychobiological orientation inherent in temperament concepts permits a close tie between temperament and the rapidly proliferating research areas of neurosciences and behavioural genetics. Based on developmental and psychobiological studies, the Adult Temperament Questionnaire (ATQ) by Rothbart measures self-regulatory processes in addition to constitutionally based individual reactivity. Human metapneumovirus, with two known genotypes named A and B, is associated with mild respiratory symptoms to severe LRTI in children, high-risk adults and the elderly. Rapid and reliable methods of hMPV detection in clinical samples are essential to implement appropriate care, to better understand the pathology of hMPV and to determine its epidemiology. Respiratory samples from 1,386 patients collected during 2 consecutive years were screened for hMPV using indirect immunofluorescence (IFA) assay with a monoclonal antibody.
