SMAP Multi-Temporal vegetation optical depth retrieval as an indicator of crop yield trends and crop composition

Vegetation Optical Depth (VOD) is related to Vegetation Water Content (VWC). This provides new and highly valuable information for ecological and agricultural studies. In this work, VOD from the Soil Moisture Active-Passive (SMAP) satellite has been retrieved with the new Multi-Temporal Dual-Channel Algorithm (MT-DCA). Then, it has been applied to the study of crop yield trends and crop composition. Simulation of granular organic fertilizer application by centrifugal spreader

There is no specialized equipment designed to spread granular cylindrical organic fertilizer in the soil. There are also no rational recommendations available on how to spread this type of fertilizer. Mineral fertilizer spreaders are most often used for spreading granulated organic fertilizer. The paper presents researches on the possibilities and advantages for the environment of using bio-fuels , especially bio-ethanol and bio-gas. The international context is favorable to using bio-fuels, considering that a direction of European Union establishes that in 2020, 20% of the energy consumption of Romania must be provided by rechargeable energy. Hazard analysis and critical control points in deep-fat frying

The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system was applied to sunflower oils used for frying in nineteen university restaurants. Guidelines for implementation that include training personnel, flow diagram, identifying hazards, controlling hazards at critical control points (CCP's), monitoring CCP's and measure of action for exceeding limit were developed.
