Arctic charr and European whitefish are considered to be strong competitors in lakes, with the latter usually being the superior species. However, high niche plasticity and lake morphometry may suggestively facilitate resource partitioning and coexistence between charr and whitefish. Here, we explore the trophic niche utilization (diet and habitat use) of charr and whitefish co-occurring with brown trout in the deep and oligotrophic Lake Fyresvatnet, southern Norway (59˚05’N, 8˚10’E). Lignin Inter-Diffusion Underlying Improved Mechanical Performance of Hot-Pressed Paper Webs

Broader use of bio-based fibres in packaging becomes possible when the mechanical properties of fibre materials exceed those of conventional paperboard. Hot-pressing provides an efficient method to improve both the wet and dry strength of lignin-containing paper webs. Here we study varied pressing conditions for webs formed with thermomechanical pulp (TMP). The results are compared against similar data for a wide range of other fibre types. Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta dalīto sistēmu izstrāde izmantojot Akka ietvaru un Scala programmēšanas valodu. Tiek apkopota informācija par dalīto sistēmu izstrādes īpašībām, esošajiem risinājumiem un pētīts kā Akka ietvara piedāvātās iespējas palīdz šādu sistēmu izstrādē. Darba gaitā tiek izveidoti vienkārši piemēri, kas atspoguļo dažādu Akka modļu funkcionalitāti, un izveidota piemēra sistēma, kurā ieviesta aprakstītā funkcionalitāte.

Many partial order methods use some special condition for ensuring that the analysis is not terminated prematurely. In the case of stubborn set methods for safety properties, implementation of the condition is usually based on recognizing the terminal strong components of the reduced state space and, if necessary, expanding the stubborn sets used in their roots. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tuottaa ymmärrystä elintarvikepakkauksen roolista kuluttajan kokeman arvon muodostumisessa kussakin osto- ja käyttöprosessin vaiheessa. Tutkimus selvittää myös, millaisia ominaisuuksia kuluttajat pitävät tärkeinä elintarvikepakkauksissa prosessin kuluessa. Tutkielman aineisto kerättiin kvalitatiivisesti narratiivisen tutkimuksen ja teemahaastattelun yhdistelmällä 12 keskustelutilanteessa, ja se analysoitiin rakenneanalyysin avulla. Aineistosta käy ilmi, että kuluttajien kokema arvo elintarvikepakkauksista vaihtelee huomattavasti prosessin aikana, mutta arvon kokeminen on usein alitajuista eivätkä kuluttajat tiedosta pakkauksen merkitystä.
