Proekt "Učebnogo slovarâ russko-ukrainsko-polʹskoj lingvističeskoj terminologii"

In this article we propose a project of a Russian-Ukrainian-Polish Learner’s dictionary of linguistic terminology. The author asserts that the dictionary shall consist of four parts: alphabetic and thematic (ideographic) list of terminology as well as alphabetic and thematic list of scholarly works, which were the source of the given terminology. The article consists examples of dictionary entries.

Empīriskās ticamības metode divām izlasēm vāji atkarīgiem datiem

Darbs ir veltīts Empīriskās ticamības (EL) metodei. Ir aplūkotas dažādas literatūrā atrodamās EL pieejas vāji atkarīgiem datiem vienas izlases gadījumā. Tā kā divu izlašu gadījums šajā kontekstā līdz šim nav pētīts, tiek formulēta divu izlašu blokveida empīriskās ticamības (BEL) metode, balstoties uz \textit{Kitamura} formulēto BEL metodi vienas izlases gadījumā. Tiek pierādīts klasiskais $\chi^2$ robežsadalījums un pētīts interesējošā parametra $\Delta$ asimptotiskais sadalījums. Statistical properties of general Markov dynamical sources: applications to information theory

In \textitDynamical sources in information theory: fundamental intervals and word prefixes, B. Vallée studies statistical properties of words generated by dynamical sources. This is done using generalized Ruelle operators. The aim of this article is to generalize sources for which the results hold. First, we avoid the use of Grotendieck theory and Fredholm determinants, this allows dynamical sources that cannot be extended to a complex disk or that are not analytic. Second, we consider Markov sources: the language generated by the source over an alphabet \textbfM is not necessarily \textbfM^*.
Monitoring biomarkers during preseason preparation period in professional soccer players

Aim. The present study aimed at investigating the effect of a 3-week experimental intervention on biomarkers in professional soccer players during the preseason preparation-period. Methods. Eight participants (age 22.5±2.2 yrs) were enrolled in the study. During the physical preparation period players have attended a training program (51,9 hours) planned by coaches of “Equipe-Sicilia-2009”. Results. The etiology of overweight and obesity is a mixture of genetic determinants, environmental factors and health behaviors. Especially intra- and interpersonal inactive behaviors, here termed convenience seems to play an important role. The objective was to develop and validate the Convenience Behavior Questionnaire (CBQ) to assess convenience-related items and their association with overweight and obesity in a large population. A sample of 1233 subjects aged 18 to 82 years from six population groups took part in a self-administered questionnaire. A randomized controlled trial of high-dose maintenance interferon therapy in chronic hepatitis C

In chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, the rate of sustained response to interferon is low. We evaluated, in patients responding to a 26-week course of interferon, the effect of high-dose maintenance therapy in preventing relapse. Three hundred and ten patients with chronic HCV infection (38.3% with cirrhosis, 80.6% with HCV type 1) received interferon alfa-2b for 26 weeks (10 MU tiw for 8 weeks, then 5 MU tiw for 18 weeks). The Depressive and Anxious Avoidance in Prolonged Grief Questionnaire (DAAPGQ) was developed to measure depressive and anxious avoidance behaviors, which, according to cognitive-behavioral models, are supposed to play an important role in the development and maintenance of prolonged grief. High-level secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha contributes to hematopoietic failure in hairy cell leukemia [see comments]

Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) is frequently associated with severe pancytopenia. The authors detected high levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha in the bone marrow serum of patients with HCL and found anti-TNF-alpha neutralizing monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) to be able to enhance hematopoiesis of HCL patients in in vitro colony assays. As potent producers of TNF-alpha, hairy cells could be identified, thus implicating the malignant population in the pathogenesis of hematopoietic failure due to inappropriate secretion of this cytokine.
