The refugee entrepreneurship process from/in emerging economies

The paper examines several refugee experiences in Mexico and presents their reasons for leaving their home countries. A gap in research is identifying the entrepreneurial process experienced by refugee entrepreneurs. We use the case study of 10 Latin American refugees in Mexico to propose a conceptual framework that describes the entrepreneurial process of refugee entrepreneurs. We have found that this process begins with the abandonment of the country of origin, followed by the traumatic experiences that caused flight and the difficulties they face in the pilgrimage to the host country. These events help shape the entrepreneurial intention of the refugees.

Abstract A structural study was carried out along the southern Sierra Maestra mountain range, SE Cuba. This was aimed to monitor the effects of Paleogene island arc formation and collision due to convergence of the Caribbean and North American plates and subsequent Neogene disruption of the arc by initiation of the North Caribbean Transform Fault. In the Sierra Maestra two different and unrelated volcanic arcs are exposed, one of Cretaceous age (pre-Maastrichtian) and the other of Paleogene age, the latter forming the main expression of the mountain range. El presente estudio sobre la biblioteca del ilustrado valenciana Juan Bautista Muñoz (1745-1799) muestra las preocupaciones intelectuales que marcaron su trayectoria intelectual. Impulsor de la filosofía moderna en la Universidad de Valencia, fundador del Archivo General de Indias y autor de la Historia del Nuevo Mundo (1793), poseía una selecta y voluminosa biblioteca que contenía los libros más vanguardistas en las diversas disciplinas (filosofía, historia de América, religión, literatura, ciencias). Su biblioteca es paradigma de un hombre preocupado por integrar en su sociedad los valores de modernidad que circulaban por Europa.
