A partir de fuentes inéditas, este artículo analiza qué tipo de medidas administrativas estableció la Corona en la década de 1580 para someter la gestión financiera de la capitanía general del ejército de Flandes a un control más riguroso. también proporciona evidencias documentales de por qué la Corona desistió en su empeño fiscalizador en esta misma década. Con ello, el artículo muestra la disyuntiva de incrementar o rebajar el control que se planteaba en coyunturas clave. The paper concerns the mechanisms underlying the distribution of the bed shear stress in meandering bends. Literature indicates that cross-stream circulation strongly affects the redistribution of the downstream velocity, but the feedback between them is still poorly understood. The aim of this paper is to gain some insight into how the momentum transport by cross-stream circulation contributes to the bed shear stress redistribution. Experimental analysis, based on a detailed dataset collected in a large-amplitude meandering laboratory flume, is presented. Ievads. Andersona-Fābri slimība ir reta iedzimta lizosomālās uzkrāšanās slimība, ko izraisa mutācijas GLA gēnā un traucēta enzīmā α-galaktozidāzes A darbība. Līdz 2015. gadam Latvijā vēl nebija atklāts neviens pacients ar Fābri slimības diagnozi, bet šobrīd jau ir atrasti vairāk nekā 20 cilvēki ar GLA gēna mutācijām. Darba mērķi. Localized states trap waves propagating in a disordered potential and play a crucial role in Anderson localization, which is the absence of diffusion due to disorder. Some localized states are barely coupled with neighbours because of differences in wavelength or small spatial overlap, thus preventing energy leakage to the surroundings. This is the same degree of isolation found in the homogeneous core of a single-mode optical fibre. Here we show that localized states of a disordered optical fibre are single mode: the transmission channels possess a high degree of resilience to perturbation and invariance with respect to the launch conditions. THE formation of the human pseudocholinesterase variants is controlled by at least four alleles at one autosomal locus termed E1 (ref. 1). The four alleles are , , and (refs. 2–5). The heterozygotes have been found in remarkably uniform frequencies, about 3 to 6 per cent, in Caucasians from Europe and North America3,8–11, and also in Australian aborigines12 and Mexican Indians13, but are relatively rare among Negroes11 and Mongoloids10,11,14.
Models of long-term care use among older people with disabilities in Taiwan: institutional care, community care, live-in migrant care and family care

The four main models of long-term care (LTC) for older people in Taiwan are institutional care, community & home-based care, live-in migrant care, and family care. This study aims to examine the factors associated with the four above-mentioned LTC models, using the Andersen model as its framework for analysis. Data were from the 2005 National Taiwanese Health Interview Survey (n=30,680) and in this study 592 over-65-year-old persons who require personal care in daily life were included.
