We explore the current situation in a viticultural region in Eastern Spain from a holistic and multifaceted research approach, which allowed us to understand the biophysical conditions, economic cost, social impact, and perception of the farmers’ community to the use of catch crops. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan pedagogisia käytänteitä, jotka tukevat kiinnittymistä sekä kielen ja sisältöjen rinnakkaista oppimista ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. Tiimietnografinen haastattelu- ja havainnointiaineisto kerättiin ammatillisessa oppilaitoksessa kahtena lukuvuonna. Osallistujat ovat myöhään suomalaiselle koulupolulle tulleita maahanmuuttotaustaisia nuoria aikuisia. Highly sensitive olfactory biosensors for the detection of volatile organic compounds by surface plasmon resonance imaging

International audience; Nowadays, monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is very important in various domains. In this work, we aimed to develop sensitive olfactory biosensors using odorant binding proteins (OBPs) as sensing materials. Three rat OBP3 derivatives with customized binding properties were designed and immobilized on the same chip for the detection of VOCs in solution by surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi). We demonstrated that the proteins kept their binding properties after the immobilization under optimized conditions. The focus of this paper was on a quantitative comprehension of temperature effect on the volumes of aqueous di-block and triblock copolymers, based on propylene oxide (PO) and ethylene oxide (EO) units. To this purpose, literature data dealing with (EO316PO94 + water) and (EO13PO30EO13 + water) mixtures were analyzed. The volume vs. temperature trends were rationalized on the basis of the (unimers + aggregate) equilibrium by taking into account the temperature effect on both the partial molar volumes of the unimeric and the aggregated copolymer as well as the equilibrium constant of micellization.
