The process of transferring the selected elements of traditional culture from the current (the so-called “authentic”) cultural context to a new stage-like or festivities-like space is referred to as the folklorism which finds its own place in the dimension of the contemporary popular culture. Principled animation design improves comprehension of complex dynamics

International audience; Learners can have difficulty in decomposing conventionally designed animations to obtain raw material suitable for building high quality mental models. A composition approach to designing animations based on the Animation Processing Model was developed as a principled alternative to prevailing approaches. Outcomes from studying novel and conventional animation designs (independent variable) were compared with respect to mental model quality, knowledge of local kinematics, and capacity to transfer (dependent variables). Animación, documental y memoria. la representación animada de la dictadura chilena

La animación aparece cada vez más en producciones sobre sucesos relacionados con la memoria. Nuestro objetivo es analizar las obras que incorporan escenas animadas para representar la dictadura chilena y profundizar en la convergencia entre animación, documental y memoria. Desde una perspectiva cualitativa, combinamos el análisis de las animaciones con entrevistas a sus directores. Los resultados muestran que la animación es un formato versátil, que permite a los autores superar la ausencia de imágenes de archivo, suavizar el grado de representación de los sucesos traumáticos, abaratar costes, conectar la memoria con las nuevas generaciones y favorecer la empatía del espectador.

This paper revisits two teacher-education contexts which we independently researched. Both contexts invested in teacher-professional transformation, presenting unique puzzles in our respective data analyses. Bringing together Bakhtinian dialogic theory and Natural Inclusionality (Rayner, 2017), we return to these puzzles in a reflective dialogue. The paper unpacks two emergent themes.
