Opinion of the Patients About an Internet-Based Psychological Treatment Protocol

2015

Emotional disorders (depression and anxiety disorders) are highly prevalent. Currently, there is evidence showing the efficacy of disorder-specific cognitive-behavior therapy for emotional disorders. However, high comorbidity rates among emotional disorders have led some researchers to shift the focus to treatment strategies that might be more widely effective across these diverse conditions (transdiagnostic approach). Another important line of research in the literature is Internet-based psychotherapy. An increasing number of meta-analyses have shown the efficacy and effectiveness of Internet-based cognitive-behavior treatment protocols for emotional disorders. Nevetherless, little is know…

Effects of Difficulty in Handling Emotions and Social Interactions on Nomophobia: Examining the Mediating Role of Feelings of Loneliness

2022

Abstract This study was addressed to assess nomophobia in an Italian sample (N = 456, 53.1% men, Mage = 31.8, SD = 11.1), also providing a deeper knowledge about how it is distributed across demographics, as well as identifying its best predictors. The main goal was to investigate the direct and indirect effects of difficulty in emotion regulation and social interaction anxiety on nomophobia through loneliness. Our findings indicated that loneliness explained the effect of the expressive suppression strategy (fully) and social interaction anxiety (partially) on nomophobia, whereas it was not a significant mediator when the cognitive reappraisal strategy was taken into account. Our study sug…

Psychotherapy in Cardiac Patients

1976

The papers, which are given here, are about psychological aspects of patients with CHD, mainly about patients after myocardial infarction. Patients with psychic disturbances after myocardial infarction rarely come to the clinical psychotherapist, they were mainly seen by specialists for internal diseases. In their opinion they do well to prefer such specialists, because only he is able to see the organic complications which are feared, and is able to treat them early and adequately.

2015

Abstract:Interest in the study of psychological well-being (Ryff, 1989) …
