Les activités artisanales de Bibracte et d'Autun : une pérennité des savoir-faire

Depuis le XIXe siècle,les chercheurs ont toujours souligné la richesse des activités de production à Bibracte et à Autun. Les recherches récentes ont apporté beaucoup de données nouvelles qui confirment les transferts des savoirs et des traditions artisanales entre les deux villes dans un territoire où la tradition du travail des métaux est bien implantée depuis un long moment. Ce regard croisé entre deux sites est maintenant une tradition, lorsqu'on étudie le passage du monde celtique au monde romain. Notre présentation n'est qu'un bilan d'étape, en effet, les recherches sur les deux sites apportent en continu de nouvelles réponses et de nouvelles interrogations.

No large-scale study of Bronze Age swords moulds currently exists. This is yet a key element in order to be able to discuss the potential production areas locations, question often tackled since more than a half century in the archaeological literature dedicated to these weapons. Regional studies will first allow us to produce an inventory of these moulds in Europe. This is an essential condition to a further discussion on the swords production techniques through the study of the most direct witnesses of their fabrication. The purpose of this contribution is to re-examine the iconography of an Etruscan hydria by the Micali Painter, probably the most famous craftsman of the black-figure ceramics technique at the end of the 6th century B.C. In our opinion, this vase would present the Etruscan version of a Greek myth showing the ancient Tuscans as pirates attempting to kidnap Dionysus. This figuration, which also appears in Greek sources, could be interpreted as the rivalry between the two cultures for the control of the wine trade in the western part of the Mediterranean. Since 1998, the enclosure of Châtel at Boviolles is the subject of a research program aiming ta the study of the space organization and the chronology of this important oppidum established in leuque territory. Its surface, more than 60 hectares, and the importance of the discoveries carried out since the 19th century, required the installation of various methods of archaeological investigation: air prospections, archaeological prospections, geophysical prospections and excavations.

Le PCR : La confluence Saône-Doubs à l’âge du Fer (VIe s. av. J.-C. au Ier siècle de notre ère), coordonné par Matthieu Thivet et Émilie Dubreucq, vise à relancer une dynamique de recherche sur un secteur géographique clé : la confluence de la Saône et du Doubs, située en plein coeur de la Bourgogne, à une vingtaine de kilomètres au nord de Chalon-sur-Saône.
