This study investigates leaders' motivation to lead (MTL) as a personal resource for building a sustainable career as a leader. Using a person-centered methodology, we identified different latent profiles of leadership motivation. These motivational profiles were compared with leaders' occupational well-being and leadership-related career intentions, and with follower-rated leader behaviors and LMX relationship quality. The survey data consisted of 1003 Finnish leaders from various sectors of working life. Il presente studio mette in relazione i comportamenti agiti circa la ricerca lavorativa e la disponibilità al trasferimento in un gruppo di soggetti disoccupati. L’indagine è stata condotta su un gruppo di 301 disoccupati siciliani, utilizzando come predittore l’autoefficacia nelle scelte di carriera. I risultati, che hanno confermato molte delle ipotesi assunte, mostrano come l’autoefficacia di carriera predica sia la frequenza dei comportamenti di ricerca lavorativa, sia la disponibilità dei partecipanti al trasferimento di sede per lavoro. The Effect of Overeducation on Job Content Innovation and Career-Enhancing Strategies Among Young Spanish Employees

The increase of education in younger people and the relative scarcity of qualified jobs available for them make the overeducation of young workers a social issue. We explored the relationships between overeducation and extra-role behaviors (job content innovation and career-enhancing strategies) as well as the direct and moderating role of personal initiative and intrinsic work values in these relationships. Les données exploitées sont celles du Panel 95-2002 (DEP, Ministère de l'Education) et de l'enquête Education et famille (INSEE, 2003). It will provide an analysis of immigrant's educational expectations viewed in relation with their children's school careers, taking into account the impact of social, ethnic and geographical origin.
