The effect of wastewater salinity and presence of petroleum hydrocarbon on N2O emission was investigated in a membrane bioreactor, in which the anoxic and aerobic zones were put in series according to a pre-denitrification scheme. The pilot plant, was continuously fed by a mixture of real and synthetic wastewater. It was operated with a first phase of acclimation of the biomass to a given salinity by gradually increasing the salt concentration from 10 gNaCl/L to 20 gNaCl/L, and to a second phase of petroleum hydrocarbon dosing at 2 g/L (as gasoline). Ērču encefalīts (ĒE) mūsdienās ir plaši pazīstama vīrusinfekcija. ĒE ir infekcijas slimība, ko cilvēkam pārnes Ixodes tipa ērces. Latvijā par endēmiskiem ir atzīti 22 novadi, tādēļ ir liels risks inficēties ar ĒE. Līdz ar to iedzīvotāju informētība par ĒE un profilaktisko terapijas iespējām ir aktuāla un svarīga. Darba mērķis bija sociālās aptaujas ietvaros uzzināt un novērtēt Latvijas iedzīvotāju informētību par ĒE vīrusinfekciju un to profilaktisko terapijas iespējām Latvijā. Iegūtie dati reprezentēja, ka kopējais Latvijas iedzīvotāju informētības līmenis par ĒE ir augsts, un cilvēkiem ir pieejama informācija par profilaktisko terapiju iespējām. In this study, we performed a non-invasive, preliminary evaluation of the effects of a biphasic facial skin care product containing plant oils, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and panthenol on skin hydration levels and transepidermal water loss compared to a control group using only shea butter. Soil erosion by water is a natural process that cannot be avoided. Soil erosion depends on many factors, and a distinction should be made between humanly unchangeable (e.g., rainfall) and modifiable (e.g., length of the field) soil erosion factors. Soil erosion has both on-site and off-site effects. Soil conservation tries to combine modifiable factors so as to maintain erosion in an area of interest to an acceptable level. Strategies to control soil erosion have to be adapted to the desired land use. The focus of this dissertation is to investigate the perception of single chords, both in terms of perceived emotions and psychoacoustic qualities. Previous empirical research on harmony perception has mainly been concerned with horizontal aspects of harmony: studies focusing on vertical harmony perception have been rare. Tässä tutkielmassa tutkitaan yhdenlaista aiolista sointukulkua populaarimusiikissa. Sointukulus-sa ensimmäinen sointu i ja viimeinen sointu bVII aste. Tarkoituksena on löytää sointukulun alku-perä ja lähtökohta sekä sointukulun tyypillisin muoto. Sointukulkuja tarkastellaan erilaisten musiikinteorioiden kautta. Päänäkökulman on psykologias-ta skeemateoria sekä pohdintaan genren merkitystä sointukulkuun. Perinteisen musiikkiteorioi-den avulla luodaan lähtökohdat tarkastelulle.
