Bisphosphonates (BPs) are potent drugs, used in metastatic cancer-like prostate or breast carcinoma. In recent studies, besides reduced bone remodeling, influences on angiogenesis and neovascularization were reported. This paper deals with a study on the statistical properties of narrowband amplify-and-forward relay fading channels for Hoyt multipath propagation environments. We consider the basic radio link topology, where only one fixed relay station is used for the amplification. In this case, the envelope of the signal received over the overall multipath channel is modeled by the so-called double Hoyt fading process. The design of sum-of-cisoids rayleigh fading channel simulators assuming non-isotropic scattering conditions

In this letter, we introduce the Riemann sum method (RSM) as an effective tool for the design of sum-of-cisoids (SOC) simulators for narrowband mobile Rayleigh fading channels under non-isotropic scattering conditions. We compare the performance of the RSM with that of the generalized method of equal areas (GMEA) and the Lp-norm method (LPNM), which were until now the only methods available for the design of SOC simulators for non-isotropic scattering channels. Predicted secondary structure of hydroperoxide lyase from green bell pepper cloned in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica

International audience; Fatty acid hydroperoxide lyase (HPL) is a member of the cytochrome P450 family acting on fatty acid hydroperoxides in many organisms. The active green bell pepper HPL, cloned and expressed in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica, was purified by immobilized metal-ion affinity chromatography (IMAC) in the presence of 2% of Triton X-100R. The secondary structure prediction by bioinformatics servers of HPL was realized by ANTHEPROT software, using the GOR, DPM and Predator methods. Determination of the stability of protein pools from the cell wall of fungi.

Stability of the protein populations present in the cell wall of three ascomycetous fungi Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Yarrowia lipolytica was investigated. Cell wall proteins were either labeled with biotin or radiolabeled with amino acids, and chased for a period of time representing several generations. Proteins linked by non-covalent or covalent bonds were separated and their turnover was analyzed.
