Every year before Christmas, the weekly newspaper “Gość Niedzielny” prepares materials to be used by parish priests in their work with children during Advent (during rorate missa). Each year they oscillate around one topic. One of the fixed components of the whole set that parishes receive is the so-called Rorate song, which is delivered in musical notation and as recorded music material. The authors and performers are artists associated with the scene of CCM in Poland. These materials have repeatedly aroused controversy. Parish priests emphasise their attractiveness, church musicians question their liturgicality. The paper analyses this phenomenon.

Abstract A rapid and non-destructive method has been developed for the characterization of chocolate samples based on diffuse reflectance near-infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and artificial neural networks (ANNs). This methodology provides a potentially useful alternative to time-consuming chemical methods of analysis.
