Aim We propose a novel approach that considers taxonomic uniqueness, functional uniqueness and environmental uniqueness and show how it can be used in guiding conservation planning. This dissertation explored the effects of strength and balance training (SBT) as part of a multimodal geriatric intervention on physical functioning and health-related factors associated with training participation in a community-dwelling population aged 75 years and over. Interest in studying teaching practices has increased, because of the need to evaluate teachers and dissatisfaction with the usual ways of doing it. Recent approaches with Value-Added Models, based on students’ results on achievement tests do not seem satisfactory. Darbā tika pētītas vārdu krājuma testēšanas paņēmienu priekšrocības un trūkumi un visefektīvākais un drošākais paņēmiens vārdu krājuma pārbaudei mācību apstākļos.
