Satisfaction with and reliability of in-hospital video-EEG monitoring systems in epilepsy diagnosis – A German multicenter experience

2021

OBJECTIVE: To analyze satisfaction with and reliability of video-electroencephalography-monitoring systems (VEMS) in epilepsy diagnostics.; METHODS: A survey was conducted between December 2020 and January 2021 among German epilepsy centers using well-established customer satisfaction (CS) and quality assurance metrics.; RESULTS: Among 16 participating centers, CS with VEMS was low, with only 13% of customers actively recommending their system. Only 50% of users were satisfied with the overall performance of their VEMS, and a low 18% were satisfied with the manufacturer's customer service. User interface, software stability, lack of regular updates, and missing customer-oriented improvement…

Following the Money: Revenue Stream Constituents in Case of Within-firm Variation

2014

The idea of this paper stems from the perception that the concept of revenue stream requires clarification and further division to be applicable to businesses with high internal variation in their methods of capturing revenue. The aim is to answer the following research questions: 1) What are the relevant constituents of the revenue stream concept within a b2b software services firm? 2) How revenue stream as part of the busine…

Total Quality in a Serial Industry - The Concept of a Closed-Loop in a Total Autonomous Flow

2021

The scientific paper presents a study on the practical perspectives to achieve the ideal “Zero defects” in the automotive industry. The concept of “Zero defects” is a desideratum of all quality managers that can lead to a final goal represented by total customer satisfaction. Quality assurance is necessary in the automotive industry and occurs as a tool by which any organization can achieve a place as competitive as possible in the competitive market. The closed-loop concept emerges as the final solution for achieving the “Zero Defects” ideal. The International Measurement Evaluation Programme (IMEP) IMEP-6: "Trace elements in water"

1998

The sixth round of the International Measurement Evaluation Programme (IMEP) is presented. The programme offers reference values, established by primary methods of measurement, against which participating laboratories can evaluate their performance. The degree of comparability is thus established against the most objective references available at present. In IMEP-6, reference values for total concentrations of 14 trace elements in a synthetic and a natural water were established mainly by isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS). For the majority of the measurands, results traceable to the international system of units (SI) and having expanded uncertainties, U (k=2), of 2% could be establi…

International Vocational Education and Training Research: An Introduction to the Special Issue

2021

The seven articles in this special issue represent a wide range of international comparative and review studies by international research teams from China, Germany, India, Russia, Switzerland and Mexico. The presented projects are part of the national program "Research on the Internationalisation of Vocational Education and Training", funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). An adapted version of Urie Bronfenbrenners ecological systems theory forms the conceptual framework of the special issue. The four system levels (micro, meso, exo and macro) are addressed by one article each. The article on the microsystem level focuses on the intended and implemented c…

Tulka un tulkotāja profesiju atspoguļojums Latvijas plašsaziņas līdzekļos 2014.gadā

2015

2015

Apkopojot darba izstrādes laikā saņemtos datus, autore pārliecinājās, ka lielākā daļa no aptaujātiem tulkošanas biroji…

Local Decisions Under Central Watch: A Nordic Quality Assurance System

2013

Quality assurance or accountability, as we use the term, refers to when an actor, in virtue of contractual obligations, has the right to hold another actor responsible to a set of standards, to judge whether the standards have been met and to impose sanctions if the standards are deemed unfulfilled. In this chapter, we compare how (and if) these rights have been distributed and enacted in educational administration in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. By specifying contractual obligations, we wish to separate accountability from other kinds of asymmetric power relations, such as those between parent and child, and focus on acts of delegation and control.
