Combined People Position and Compass Detection for Context-aware Service Provision

A novel technique is discussed for people identification and position sensing in augmented reality by the use of two cooperating technologies. People are provided with RFID tags for localization and context definition, and then visually investigated for identity checking and compass detection. The two technologies are discussed within an implementation of a case study dealing with context aware service provision for students in a campus.

Étude de la biodégradation de l'herbicide acide 2.4-dichlorophénoxyacétique (2.4-D) dans des sols agricoles de la région de Constantine

Les principaux facteurs conditionnant la biodégradation du 2,4-D dans trois sols agricoles algériens (45IB, 46BM et 47AA), notamment l'humidité et la température, ont été examinés. Les cinétiques de minéralisation de l'herbicide ont été déterminées par radiorespirométrie, qui consiste à piéger et estimer le 14C02 formé dans une solution de soude à l'aide d'un compteur à scintillation liquide. Les résultats obtenus confirment la présence de microorganismes dégradants le 2,4-D et la biodégradation de cet herbicide semble dépendre essentiellement des propriétés physicochimiques intrinsèques des sols notamment la teneur en argile et MgO. Augmented reality (AR) picturebooks combine printed children's literature with augmented reality. This study examines the shared reading of the Finnish AR picturebook Mur, eli karhu (2016) by Kaisa Happonen and Anne Vasko. The main aim of the study is to explore the playful reading experience of three Finnish families with children between the ages of 4 and 6. Three main categories of engagement with the book are discussed in the article: interpretation, negotiation, and play. Panorāmas attēlu segmentācija

Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika noskaidrots, kā var uzlabot panorāmas attēlu segmentāciju. Panorāmas attēliem ir īpašība, ka tie ir periodiski, tāpēc tika piedāvātas divas metodes, ar kuru palīdzību var uzlabot bināro precizitāti uz segmentācijas maskām. Viena no piedāvātajām metodēm ir apļveida slānis, kas sniedza ievērojami labākus rezultātus pie panorāmas attēla malām. Otra piedāvātā metode bija panorāmas attēla rotācija, kas ir datu augmentācijas metode. Šī metode sniedza uzlabojumus segmentācijas maskas precizitātē uz visu panorāmas attēlu, taču izmantojot abas metodes kopā tika iegūti vislabākie rezultāti. Darbā arī pieminētas divas metodes, ko izmantot nākotnes pētījumos.
