Artikkelissa tarkastellaan lasten ja tutkijoiden välisiä sukupolvisuhteita tutkimustoiminnassa. Tutkimusmenetelmänä ja tutkijoihin kohdistuvana pedagogisena menetelmänä käytetään kollaboratiivista autoetnografiaa. Artikkelissa hyödynnetään Pierre Bourdieun episteemisen refleksiivisyyden ajatusta eli tutkijan ja tutkittavien suhteiden ja asemien kriittistä arviointia. Lisäksi tutkimustoiminnassa toteutuvia sukupolvisuhteita tarkastellaan eksistentiaalisen, episteemisen ja juridis-eettisen ulottuvuuden avulla. Tässä artikkelissa tarjoamme autoetnografisen katsauksen kahteen soveltavaa kielentutkimusta ja korkeakoulututkimusta yhdistelevään tutkimusprojektiin, jotka molemmat olivat pitkän, osittain varsin fokuksettoman prosessin tulosta. Näiden kahden projektin avulla esittelemme ja pohdimme sitä, miten projektit saivat alkunsa, miten ne etenivät ja miten niiden ydin kirkastui vasta useiden kollegoiden kanssa käytyjen keskusteluiden, prokrastinoinnin ja muuttuneiden suunnitelmien jälkeen – molemmissa tapauksissa lähempänä tutkimusprosessin loppua kuin sen alkua. Tietämätön opettaja demokratiakasvatuksessa

Tämä artikkeli tutkii ranskalaisajattelija Jacques Rancièren älyjen tasa-arvon käsitettä sekä tasa-arvon periaatetta demokratiakasvatuksessa. Artikkelin kollaboratiivinen empiirinen aineisto koostuu 19 opettajaopiskelijan sekä heidän opettajanaan toimineen kirjoittajan autoetnografisista teksteistä yhden lukuvuoden mittaisen kurssin ajalta. Kirjoittajan kokoama ja kertoma moniääninen autoetnografinen tarina tuo esiin erilaisia näkökulmia opettajuuteen ja opettajaksi kasvamiseen, joita peilataan Rancièren ajatteluun. An In-between Reader : Situatedness and Belonging in Tove Jansson’s Helsinki

Finnish-Swedish artist and writer Tove Jansson (1914–2001), widely known as the author of the Moomin books, was born in Helsinki and resided there for the greater part of her life. The city features as a setting for her adult-oriented fiction – notably, semi-autobiographical fix-up novels Sculptor’s Daughter (1968/2015) and Fair Play (1989/2011). This article adopts a situated approach to literary geography, examining the researcher’s own position as a Helsinki resident and a ‘situated’ reader. Siirtymätilassa : autoetnografinen tutkimus kirjoittajan matkasta proosan pariin

Tarkastelen artikkelissa siirtymätilaa kahden eri kirjoittamisen lajin välillä autoetnografian keinoin. Aineistona on tutkimusprosessin ajan pitämäni työpäiväkirja, jota analysoin temaattisella sisällönanalyysilla. Siirtymätilan lisäksi olen kuvannut työpäiväkirjan merkitystä, havaintojen tekemistä ja työpäiväkirjassa välittyvää mielen näyttämöä. The starting point of the study is the work counselling process taking place in the induction phase of the students’ teaching career. The work counselling process consists of activities that support and strengthen the students’ teacher hood and their primary function as teachers by helping them to analyse their work and to attach to working life as newly graduated teachers. AbstractPolicy for young children in South Africa is now receiving high-level government support through the ANC’s renewed commitment to redress poverty and inequity and creating ‘a better life for all’ as promised before the 1994 election. In this article, I explore the power relations, knowledge hierarchies and discourses of childhood, family and society in National Curriculum Framework (NCF) as it relates to children’s everyday contexts. In this article, we introduce our special issue, “International students’ lived experiences in the era unprecedented uncertainty and challenges: New voices from intersectional identities.” Our motivation and intention for this special issue, the focus, and the overall methodological approach are discussed. In addition to presenting the contributions of each article to this issue, we also discuss what we (all authors of this special issue) try to talk and how our voices are reflecting our unique experiences of coming to the new counties and leaving where we lived as international students by unfolding our stories and multiple identities that are intersecting while we experienced.

Tutkin pienyrittämistä ja pienyrittäjää vuosina 1987-1994, jolloin Suomi nousi kasinotalouden aallonharjalle, viipyi siellä hetken ennen syöksymistään laman kurimukseen. Toimin tuona aikana yrittäjänä ja kirjoitin kokemuksistani omaelämkerrallisen tarinan. Tarinani on osa aineistoani.
