Effect of thermal annealing on the luminescence of defective ZnO nanoparticles synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in water

This work concerns ZnO nanoparticles (NPs), with sizes of tens of nm, produced by ablation with a pulsed Nd:YAG laser of a Zn plate in H2O. TEM images evidence the formation of nanoparticles with sizes of tens of nm. Moreover, HRTEM images and Raman spectra show that the distance between the crystalline planes and the vibrational modes are consistent with ZnO nanocrystal in wurtzite structure. Their optical properties are characterized by two emission bands both excited above the energy gap (3.4 eV): the first at 3.3 eV is associated with excitons recombination, the second at 2.2 eV is proposed to originate from a singly ionized oxygen vacancy. Neurofeedback treatments have shown successful results in anxiety disorders. The effectiveness of a betal Neurofeedback protocol was tested in a longitudinal clinical case study. A participant suffering from an anxiety syndrome underwent 10 sessions of Neurofeedback, in a protocol consisting of uptraining the betal rhythm (16-21 Hz) while downtraining the theta (4-8 Hz) band. State anxiety and salivary cortisol levels were measured during each of the 10 sessions following a pre/post design. Initial and final examinations of anxiety symptoms and sustained attention performance were also implemented. This article explores the issues at stakes in defining the narrative caption. As a starting point, it reviews usual definitions which combine a functional component (the caption provides a certain kind of information), a graphic component (that characterizes it as a space) and an enunciative component (the text which conveys the narrator’s voice) are combined. The article distingues between two objects: on the one hand the text box as a peripheral space in relation to the panel, on the other hand the caption as a textual element. Deposition of tin sulfide thin films from tin(iv) thiolate precursors

AACVD (aerosol-assisted chemical vapour deposition) using (PhS)(4)Sn as precursor leads to the deposition of Sn3O4 in the absence of H2S and tin sulfides when H2S is used as co-reactant. At 450 degreesC the film deposited consists of mainly SnS2 while at 500 degreesC SnS is the dominant component. The mechanism of decomposition of (PhS)(4)Sn is discussed and the structure of the precursor presented.

Aquest informe final del projecte “Trajectòries, abandons i canvis de titulació en la Universitat de València” s’ha elaborat a partir del treball desenvolupat durant dos anys (2014-2016) i ha comptat amb el suport del Vicerectorat d’Estudis de Grau. El treball s’ha diferenciat en dues fases: una primera de tipus quantitatiu i una segona de caire qualitatiu. This paper presents the main results of the research work that promoted the design and implementation of training and guidance played in the territory of Palermo during the school years 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 in three secondary schools, with operating procedures, capable of promoting inclusive paths, based on the involvement of students, teachers and parents. The assumption from which we started is that the problems of dispersion and social marginalization can be addressed not only through direct guidance interventions with young people at risk, but also involving adults of reference because we are convinced that this will have, even at a distance of time a significant impact on students. …
A Band Model of Cambium Development: Opportunities and Prospects

More than 60% of tree phytomass is concentrated in stem wood, which is the result of periodic activity of the cambium. Nevertheless, there are few attempts to quantitatively describe cambium dynamics. In this study, we develop a state-of-the-art band model of cambium development, based on the kinetic heterogeneity of the cambial zone and the connectivity of the cell structure. The model describes seasonal cambium development based on an exponential function under climate forcing which can be effectively used to estimate the seasonal cell production for individual trees.
