Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare and lethal cancer associated to asbestos exposure. Currently, the pemetrexed and cisplatin combination chemotherapy remains the only approved treatment. In the last 5 years, a growing knowledge on mesothelioma pathobiology has translated into the development of multiple novel therapeutic strategies.1 One of the largest reports of comprehensive genomic profiling of MPM was conducted by Bueno and colleagues. Using RNA-seq data, they identified four distinct molecular subtypes, and through exome analysis, they found that BAP1 , NF2 , TP53 , SETD2 , DDX3X , ULK2 , RYR2 , CFAP45 , SETDB1 and DDX51 were significantly mutated.2 In an article recently …
Carbapenem-Susceptible OXA-23-Producing Proteus mirabilis in the French Community

International audience; Nineteen Proteus mirabilis isolates producing the carbapenemase OXA-23 were recovered over a 2-year period in 19 French hospitalized patients, of whom 12 had community onset infections. The isolates exhibited a slightly reduced susceptibility to carbapenems. Whole-genome analysis revealed that all 19 isolates formed a cluster compared to 149 other P. mirabilis isolates. Because of its susceptibility to carbapenems, this clone may be misidentified as a penicillinase producer while it constitutes a reservoir of the OXA-23-encoding gene in the community.

Background: In Italy, Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase producing K. pneumoniae (KPC-Kp) strains are highly endemic and KPC producing CC258 is reported as the widely predominating clone. In Palermo, Italy, previous reports have confirmed this pattern. However, recent preliminary findings suggest that an epidemiological change is likely ongoing towards a polyclonal KPC-Kp spread. Olej należy do najważniejszych elementów naturalnych, jakie weszły do liturgii Kościoła. Chociaż używa się go w różnych obrzędach sakramentalnych i pozasakramentalnych, to jednak najbogatszą wymowę teologiczną zyskał w obrzędach chrześcijańskiej inicjacji. Niniejsze studium stanowi refleksję nad rolą i znaczeniem oleju w liturgii chrzcielnej w tradycji syro-orientalnej.
