Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to compare tentorial incision (group A) versus retraction and tack up suture (group B) of the tentorial edge during the subtemporal approach for surgery in the high basilar region. Design 24 cadaveric dissections and 4 clinical cases of aneurysms of the high basilar region are presented. Assessment included visibility and operability afforded by either tentorial incision creating a dural flap (group A) or retraction of the tentorial edge and tethering with a suture (group B). Adenosine is an endogenous purine nucleoside with a role as a modulator of both neurotransmission and the inflammatory response. The honeycomb worm Sabellaria alveolata is a gregarious tube-dwelling polychaete that builds remarkable biogenic reefs in marine coastal waters. Sabellaria alveolata reefs are considered valuable marine habitats requiring protection measures for their conservation, as they play a key role in the functioning of coastal ecosystems. Sabellarid reefs are extensively developed along the Atlantic coasts of Europe and reported for the Mediterranean Sea and the Italian coasts, where large reefs have been recorded in several localities. Fragmentary information is available on their health status, Sabellaria reefs thus being listed as “Data Deficient” in the Red List of Marine Habitats. To fill this …

Esta no es una tesis sobre los numerosos escultores que pasaron por València a lo largo de los siglos XVI y XVII, ni sobre las obras que se produjeron en la ciudad en ese extenso periodo de tiempo. Esta tesis es, en realidad, una aproximación al ejercicio y la práctica de la escultura en aquel lugar y en aquel tiempo concretos. En primer lugar, se dedican unas páginas a introducir la cuestión y a justificar los márgenes temáticos, cronológicos, espaciales y conceptuales que rigen el estudio. Tras ello, se exponen algunas consideraciones metodológicas y de enfoque historiográfico.
