International audience; Ultrafast lasers in association to beam shaping have shown to be excellent candidates for transparent material processing. Non-diffractive solutions such as Bessel beams allows for precise energy deposition since they are robust to undesired non-linear effects and as they do not distort along the propagation. The mutual inductance of two such turns can be expressed as an integral of a product of three Bessel functions and an exponential factor, and it is shown that the exponential factors can be analytically summed as a simple geometric progression, or other related sums. In medieval Sicily abbesses had a strong spiritual and temporal power and many of them belonged to noble families. They ran the convents, guided and protected the nuns, and commissioned works of art. In the pictures abbesses were portrayed with nuns, but double in size to underline their leadership. Convents were troubled by disputes and clashes between dissident nuns and abbesses. Moreover, abbesses could not avoid dynastic logics and family power games that affected their life and limited their action.

In the context of laser cutting of transparent materials, we investigate glass cleaving with Bessel beams and report that a modification of the beam with 3 main lobes drastically enhances cleavability and reduces defects.

Riesz-Fischer Maps, Semi-frames and Frames in Rigged Hilbert Spaces

In this note we present a review, some considerations and new results about maps with values in a distribution space and domain in a σ-finite measure space X. Namely, this is a survey about Bessel maps, frames and bases (in particular Riesz and Gel’fand bases) in a distribution space. In this setting, the Riesz-Fischer maps and semi-frames are defined and new results about them are obtained. Some examples in tempered distributions space are examined.
