Abstract Background: Digital libraries are typically used for retrieving and accessing articles in academic journals and repositories. Previous studies have been published about the performance of various biomedical research platforms, but no information is available about access preferences. Methods: A six-question survey was designed by the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine (SIBioC) using the platform Google Drive, and made available for 1 month to the members of the society. International audience; Momordica cochinchinensis (gac) is a plant rich in lycopene. This pigment tends to solubilize in oil and get damaged during extraction. The impact of heating on cis-isomerization of oil-free lycopene in hexane was studied at 50 and 80°C during 240min with UV-Vis spectrometry, DAD-HPLC and TEAC test. The initial all-trans-form isomerized to the 13-cis isomer more rapidly at 80°C. After this treatment, 16% of the lycopene compounds were in the 9-cis-form. This isomer triggered an increase in the antioxidant properties which was detectable from concentrations above 9% and resulted in a change from 2.4 to 3.7μmol Trolox equivalent. Abstract Submersible sea-cages represent an alternative method to standard surface-based cages, and could help solve several production problems that exist in surface-based farming, such as heavy storms, algal and jellyfish blooms and attacks by predators. The comparison of Middle-Upper Jurassic ammonite successions in SW Sicily (Sciacca) and Iberia shows that, during the Middle Jurassic, besides some typical Mediterranean taxa, in Sicily as well as in the Betic Ranges (S Spain) ammonoid successions contain a higher share of typical Submediterranean taxa of Ammonitina, entirely comparable to those recorded in Epicontinental areas of Eastern Iberia.
