Electronic and Functional Scope of Boronic Acid Derived Salicylidenehydrazone (BASHY) Complexes as Fluorescent Dyes

2017

[EN] A series of boronic acid derived salicylidenehydrazone (BASHY) complexes was prepared and photophysically characterized. The dye platform can be modified by (a) electronic tuning along the cyanine-type axis via modification of the donor-acceptor pair and (b) functional tuning via the boronic acid residue. On the one hand, approach (a) allows the control of photophysical parameters such as Stokes shift, emission color, and two-photon absorption (2PA) cross section. The resulting dyes show emission light-up behavior in nonpolar media and are characterized by high fluorescence quantum yields (ca. 0.5-0.7) and brightness (ca. 35000-40000 M-1 cm(-1)). Moreover, the 2PA cross sections reach …

A Boron Dipyrromethene (BODIPY)-Based Cu(II) -Bipyridine Complex for Highly Selective NO Detection.

2015

[EN] A BODIPY-containing Cu-II-bipyridine complex for the simple selective fluorogenic detection of NO in air and in live cells is reported. The detection mechanism is based on NO-promoted Cu-II to Cu-I reduction, followed by demetallation of the complex, which results in the clearly enhanced emission of the boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY) unit.

Comparative biological evaluation and G-quadruplex interaction studies of two new families of organometallic gold(I) complexes featuring N-heterocycl…

2020

Experimental organometallic gold(I) compounds hold promise for anticancer therapy. This study reports the synthesis of two novel families of gold(I) complexes, including N1-substituted bis-N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes of general formula [Au(N1-TBM) 2]BF 4 (N1-TBM = N1-substituted 9-methyltheobromin-8-ylidene) and mixed gold(I) NHC-alkynyl complexes, [Au(N1-TBM)alkynyl]. The compounds were fully characterised for their structure and stability in aqueous environment and in the presence of N-acetyl cysteine by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The structures of bis(1-ethyl-3,7,9-trimethylxanthin-8-ylidene)gold(I), (4-ethynylpyridine)(1,9-dimethyltheobromine-8-ylidene)gol…

Conception et synthèse de nouvelles sondes fluorogéniques à coeur Bodipy pour la détection

2020

Therefore this project is aimed at the development of novel improved multi-analyte fluorogenic probes for heavy metals ions and bioanalytes within the framework “AND” fluorescent molecular logic gates concept. The biothiols and cations of Cd(II), Pb(II), Cr(III) and Cu(II) heavy metals will be selected as the targeted analytes. To the best of our knowledge, no “AND” molecular logic gates using metal ions besides Zn(II), Hg(II), Ca(II) inputs, likewise no multi-analyte probes for biothiols along with heavy metal cations, has been described in the literature. While the development of a highly sensitive and selective recognition of thiols and metal cations has emerged as a significant interest…

Porphyrines et tétraazamacrocycles dérivés du DOTA : association de deux ligands pour la chélation de métaux d'intérêt en imagerie médicale multimoda…

2012

The goal of my PhD thesis was to synthesize new molecules, which give access to heterobimetallic complexes with interesting properties for multimodal imaging. In this manuscript, several main points have been studied. The first part of this work concerns the synthesis and characterization of ligands. We describe here the synthesis of five new ligands based on the association of one porphyrin and one or several cyclen derivatives. Those ligands are water-soluble. During the synthesis, we have targeted improvements to our work and developed a new synthetic pathway, which allowed us to obtain one ligand incorporating a porphyrin, a cyclen derivative and a free amine function. This function cou…

Molecular and functional analysis of the (6-4) photolyase from the hexactinellid Aphrocallistes vastus.

2003

The hexactinellid sponges (phylum Porifera) represent the phylogenetically oldest metazoans that evolved 570-750 million years ago. At this period exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light exceeded that of today and it may be assumed that this old taxon has developed a specific protection system against UV-caused DNA damage. A cDNA was isolated from the hexactinellid Aphrocallistes vastus which comprises high sequence similarity to genes encoding the protostomian and deuterostomian (6-4) photolyases. Subsequently functional studies were performed. It could be shown that the sponge gene, after transfection into mutated Escherichia coli, causes resistance of the bacteria against UV light. Recombinan…

3-Formyl-BODIPY Phenylhydrazone as a Chromo-Fluorogenic Probe for Selective Detection of NO2 (g)

2016

Anew colorimetric and fluorogenic probe, based on a3-formyl boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY)phe-nylhydrazone, for the sensitive and selectivedetectionNO2(g) has been prepared. The probeinsolution experi-ences aremarkablehypsochromic shift of its absorptionand fluorescence emission bands in the presence gaseousNO2(g), leading to limits of detectio noffew ppb. Theprobe also works in the solid phase, adsorbed on filterpaper strips, or chemically immobilized on the surfaceofsilica nanop articles, with limitsofdetection to the nakedeye of about 0.5 ppm.

Development of Trackable Anticancer Agents Based on Metal Complexes

2016

Abstract The design of trackable anticancer agents is of major interest for the future development of therapeutics based on nonplatinum metal complexes such as Ru(II), Os(II), or Au(I) derivatives, and more particularly for the understanding of the mechanism of action of these metal-based drugs. This review reports the synthesis and the first biological studies of original trackable complexes, in which the metal complex was coupled to an imaging probe, such as a fluorophore (coumarin, borodipyrromethene derivative (BODIPY), porphyrin), or a chelating agent (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid (DOTA)) for radioisotopic imaging PET (positron emission tomography) or SPECT …

BODIPY dyes functionalized with 2-(2-dimethylaminophenyl)ethanol moieties as selective OFF–ON fluorescent chemodosimeters for the nerve agent mimics …

2014

[EN] Two OFF-ON fluorescent chemodosimeters based on a BODIPY core for the detection of nerve agent mimics have been synthesized. Their reactivity towards diethylcyanophosphonate (DCNP) and diisopropylfluorophosphate (DFP) has been tested in organic and aqueous phase. These chemodosimeters selectively detect the nerve agent mimics with good LODs. The chemodosimeters hold their sensing properties on solid supports, allowing the preparation of a hand held sensing kit. The sensing in solid-liquid phase has been demonstrated. The X-ray structure of compound 2 has been resolved.
