L'Aurignacien en Bourgogne méridionale

2010

2021

The building of the high-speed rail track linking the Rhine to the Rhone led to the discovery of two Bell Beaker burials in an Iron Age cemetery located in the plain to the east of Dijon. The Tilles plain is an alluvial environment, shaped by the valleys of the Tille and the Ouche and populated since Late Prehistory, particularly during the Bell Beaker and Early Bronze periods, which have yielded settlements located on the rivers. These burials are the first funerary features discovered in the area. The two Bell Beaker cremation burials excavated at Genlis "le Nicolot" are remarkable, as still too little is known of the funerary practices of the period in the east of France and in particular…

Appearance and use of Roman roofing materials in the region of the Aedui and Lingones

2014

The ceramic of Middle Neolithic II between the valleys of the Yonne and the Saône, between 4300 and 3400 BC

2010

The territory between the valleys of the Yonne and the Saône has always been a zone of cultural meeting in particular during the middle Neolithic II, between 4300 and 3400 BC. Since the 1970's, the culture of the Néolithique moyen bourguignon (N.M.B.) has been recognized in this region and its main characteristics were defined during a round table discussion organized in Beffia in 1984 (Pétrequin and Gallay 1984). From criteria based essentially on the ceramic typology, the N.M.B. is then mainly confined within the regions of Burgundy and Franche-Comté.Since 1984, the zone of there culture has been expended in particular to the South and Southwest. Multiple deposits have been discovered sin…
