Bandwidth and consequently optimum overall efficiency of network system relies greatly on mechanism of packet management in IP routers. Our research objective is to implement rough set theory to minimizing number of the network system attributes responsible for decision making in selection of those packets, which improve its transmission. Such an approach is called priority queuing system model, as we assign priority to the packets selected, following rough set theory. The ELECTRE I method to support the FMECA

Abstract In traditional Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), risk priorities of failure modes are determined through the Risk Priority Number (RPN), which is a function of the three risk parameters Occurrence (O), Severity (S), and Detection (D). In the present paper, an alternative approach to RPN is proposed for the criticality assessment of system failure modes. Particularly, the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method ELECTRE I is proposed to select the most critical failure mode in the set of the failure modes charactering a complex system. The method has been applied to a case study previously proposed by Zammori and Gabrielli (2012).

Secure and Privacy Preserving Pattern Matching in Distributed Cloud-based Data Storage

Given two strings: pattern $p$ of length $m$ and text $t$ of length $n$ . The string matching problem is to find all (or some) occurrences of the pattern $p$ in the text $t$ . We introduce a new simple data structure, called index arrays, and design fast privacy-preserving matching algorithm for string matching. The motivation behind introducing index arrays is determined by the need for pattern matching on distributed cloud-based datasets with semi-trusted cloud providers. It is intended to use encrypted index arrays both to improve performance and protect confidentiality and privacy of user data.

The paper focused on the evolution and the comparison of the extracellular polymeric substances (EPSs) content during the granulation process in two Granular Sequencing Batch Airlift Reactors (GSBAR) (3,5 L) fed with synthetic (R1) and industrial wastewater (R2). The results showed that in both the reactors the EPSs, in particular proteins (PN), were mainly produced during the feast phase because of the high substrate availability, especially under conditions of metabolic stress. Then, the EPSs content reduced during the famine period, because of biodegradation by bacteria. El conocimiento de la embriogenesis del cordon umbilical permite comprender su evolucion durante la gestacion y algunas variantes de lo normal, que tienen buen pronostico si se presentan de forma aislada. Al principio, el cordon umbilical esta compuesto por tres pediculos: embrionario, vitelino y alantoideo. El quiste del uraco es secundario a una persistencia anormal del conducto alantoideo, y el diverticulo de Meckel resulta de una reabsorcion incompleta del conducto vitelino. Si las anomalias del cordon son aisladas, el riesgo de aneuploidia es bajo.
