On several occasions, shrimps belonging to a new species of the genus Typhlatya were collected in a cave in the province of Castellón, Spain. This is the first record of the genus in the Iberian Peninsula. The species is described and the validity, distribution, and zoogeography of the genus, as well as the status of the genus Spelaeocaris, are discussed. Former models for the evolution of the genus Typhlatya and its genus group are reviewed, as well as the system of inner classification of the Atyidae and its biogeographical meaning. Preliminary investigations on grapevines (CV Catarratto) with symptoms of “esca” permitted to isolate only bacterial colonies, from black punctuations belonging to the genus Bacillus. Particularly, an isolate was Gram-positive with spore forming and, on the basis of the partial 16S rRNA sequence comparison, it showed a similarity of 99% with Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis. There are numerous reports on the antagonistic activity of the species towards several phytopathogenic microorganisms. This paper dissects the antecedents of international diversification through the lens of the agency cost of free cash flow arguments. It explores whether the partial convergence of interests among managers, majority shareholders, and minority shareholders affects a firm's choice to diversify internationally. In this opinion, the EFSA GMO Panel assesses the four-event stack maize and all its subcombinations independently of their origin. No new data on the single events, leading to modification of the original conclusions on their safety, were identified. Legionella pneumophila identifikācija, izmantojot MALDI-TOF MS un SBT metodes

Legionella pneumophila identifikācijai un subtipēšanai tika pielietotas divas metodes – MALDI-TOF MS un SBT. Tika izmantoti 22 no ūdens izolēti ZI ”BIOR” Legionella pneumophila celmi. Ar lateksa aglutinācijas metodi tika noteiktas izmantojamās Legionella pneumophila serogrupas – 1, 2, 3 un 6. MALDI-TOF MS ekstrakcijas metode nodrošināja 100 % identifikāciju visiem Legionella pneumophila izolātiem. Pēc 17 iegūtajiem masas spektra signāliem celmi tika efektīvi subtipēti. Ar SBT metodi celmiem tika iegūti alēļu profili un sekvences tipa numuri, kopumā 15 dažādi Legionella pneumophila ST, no kuriem divi – ST2191 un ST2192 iepriekš nebija iekļauti starptautiskajā ESGLI datubāzē. Precision Measurement of the Mass and Lifetime of the Xi(-)(b) Baryon

We report on measurements of the mass and lifetime of the Ξ[- over b] baryon using about 1800 Ξ[- over b] decays reconstructed in a proton-proton collision data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb[superscript -1] collected by the LHCb experiment. The decays are reconstructed in the Ξ[- over b] → Ξ[0 over c]π[superscript -], Ξ[0 over c] → pK[superscript -]K[superscript -]π[superscript +] channel and the mass and lifetime are measured using the Λ[0 over b] → Λ[+ over c]π[superscript -] mode as a reference.
