Branching Ratios and Spectral Functions of $\tau$ Decays: final ALEPH measurements and physics implications

The full LEP-1 data set collected with the ALEPH detector at the $Z$ pole during 1991-1995 is analysed in order to measure the $\tau$ decay branching fractions. Extensive systematic studies are performed, in order to match the large statistics of the data sample corresponding to over 300 000 measured and identified $\tau$ decays. Branching fractions are obtained for the two leptonic channels and eleven hadronic channels defined by their respective numbers of charged particles and $\pi^0$'s. Testing explosive bubbles with time-varying volatility: the case of Spanish public debt

In this paper the dynamics of the Spanish public debt-GDP ratio is analysed during the period 1850–2021. We use recent procedures to test for explosive bubbles in the presence under time- varying volatility (Harvey et al., 2016; Harvey et al., 2019, 2020; Kurozumi et al., 2022) in order to test the explosive behavior of Spanish public debt over this long period. We extend previous analysis of Esteve and Prats (2022) where assume constant unconditional volatility in the underlying error process.

The European continent contains substantial areas of semi-natural habitats, mostly grasslands, which are among the most endangered habitats in Europe. Their continued existence depends on some form of human activity, for either production or conservation purposes, or both. We examined the share of semi-natural grasslands within the general grassland areas in boreal Europe. Identification of mycorrhiza-regulated genes with arbuscule development-related expression profile

Suppressive subtractive hybridisation was applied to the analysis of late stage arbuscular mycorrhizal development in pea. 96 cDNA clones were amplified and 81, which carried fragments more than 200 nt in size, were sequence analysed. Among 67 unique fragments, 10 showed no homology and 10 were similar to sequences with unknown function. RNA accumulation of the corresponding 67 genes was analysed by hybridisation of macro-arrays. The cDNAs used as probes were derived from roots of wild type and late mutant pea genotypes, inoculated or not with the AM fungus Glomus mosseae. Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts subtitru tulkošanas paņēmienu analīzei tulkojot kolumbiešu seriālu “Mūzikas Nindzjas” no spāņu uz latviešu valodu. Darba mērķis ir analizēt tulkošanas paņēmienu izmantošanu, veicot gan tulkojuma kvalitatīvo, gan tulkojuma un oriģinālteksta salīdzinošo analīzi. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek pētīts audiovizuālās tulkošanas jēdziens, tā specifika, problemātika un ar to saistītās grūtības, kā arī īpaša uzmanība pievērsta subtitru izveides procesam. Runas ātrums audiovizuālajos materiālos un tā ietekme uz audiovizuālās tulkošanas stratēģijām

Šajā maģistra darbā tiek analizēta runas ātruma ietekme uz tulkošanas stratēģiju izvēli audiovizuālā satura tulkošanā aizkadra ierunāšanai un subtitrēšanai. Autors ir konstatējis, ka mutiskā avotteksta pasniegšanas ātrumam pārsvarā ir kondensējoša ietekme uz tulkošanu, it īpaši subtitrēšanu, bet tas ir atkarīgs no tulkotāju individuālas pieejas. No otras puses, aizkadra ierunāšanā, ko neietekmē tehniskie subtitrēšanas ierobežojumi, brīvāka pieeja tulkošanas stratēģiju izvēlē var novest līdz avotteksta un tulkotā teksta desinhronizācijai audiovizuālajā materiālā.
