Substratum diversity in this vineyard is the result of a very long history explained by the diversity of Jurassic sedimentary facies and Tertiary tectonic activity. The nature and thickness of Quaternary deposits (Weichselian scree debris and alluvial fans) reflect sediment dynamics concurrent with the last glaciation. International audience; Cette étude présente de manière critique les découvertes qui ont été faites à la fin du xix e siècle et au début du xx e siècle à Lailly La Tournerie (Yonne). Elle propose un classement typologique et chronologique de tous les objets mis au jour par catégorie fonctionnelle, ainsi que la reconstitution, pour la première fois, de plusieurs ensembles clos. Elle a ainsi permis de proposer une évolution de ce cimetière entre le second quart du v e siècle (La Tène A ancienne) et la première décennie du ii e siècle avant J.-C. (La Tène C1). In this paper, we want to discuss the complexity of the mechanisms of medieval building stone supplying based on a diachronically and multidisciplinary inquiry on several Cistercian and ducal study cases. The first results enlighten the constraint caused by land property that limits the builders to a supplying network shaped by domain and law. Thanks to the growing vitality of trade and the arrival of independent stone providers, criteria of selection gradually focus on stone itself. Both global and individual strategies evolve then, reinventing the networks of stone providing and the markets.
