Another "French paradox": explaining why interest rates to microenterprises dit not increase with the change in French usury legislation

Conventional wisdom indicates that the growth of credit may not materialize if credit rates remain capped by usury laws, as had long been the case in France. France therefore abolished usury ceilings on loans to microenterprise in an effort to increase financing for microentrepreneurs. This should have led to an increase in interest rates and increase in microcredit. However, we do not find any increase in interest rates and this is therefore a paradox. AbstractRising temperature levels during spring and summer are often argued to enable lifting of strict containment measures even in the absence of herd immunity. Despite broad scholarly interest in the relationship between weather and coronavirus spread, previous studies come to very mixed results. To contribute to this puzzle, the paper examines the impact of weather on the COVID-19 pandemic using a unique granular dataset of over 1.2 million daily observations covering over 3700 counties in nine countries for all seasons of 2020. Conspiracy Beliefs Are Related to the Use of Smartphones behind the Wheel

The belief in conspiracy theories predicts behaviors related to public health such as the willingness to receive vaccines. This study applies a similar approach to an aspect of road safety: the use of smartphones while driving. A representative sample of 1706 subjects answered a series of questions related to what can be regarded as erroneous or conspiracy beliefs against restricting or banning the use of smartphones while driving. The results show that those having such conspiracy beliefs reported a greater use of smartphones behind the wheel.
Bicycle Rider Behavior and Crash Involvement in Australia.

This research investigated how behaviours and attitudes of bicycle riders influence crash frequency and severity. The study recruited 1102 Australian bicycle riders for an online survey. The survey comprised questions on demographics, frequency of riding and the number and severity of traffic crashes during the last five years. The survey included the Cycling Behaviour Questionnaire and the Cyclist Risk Perception and Regulation Scale. Overall, there were low levels of errors and violations reported by participants indicating that these behaviours were on average never or rarely exhibited while riding a bicycle. Este trabajo analiza la relación entre bibliotecarios y usuarios partiendo de un enfoque que toma el texto generado por estos profesionales, no como una ventana a una realidad única, sino como objeto de análisis. Se trata del análisis del discurso, que permite adoptar una perspectiva crítica, cuestionando hechos ampliamente aceptados y reflexionando sobre el objeto de estudio, en este caso los usuarios de las bibliotecas.
Projecte d'investigació-acció: Violència escolar i integració social

En aquest treball es presenta el Projecte d'Investigació-Acció realitzat pel grup Lisis de la Universitat de València. Des del model ecològic, l'interès està a analitzar i prevenir la conducta violenta entre iguals a l'escola. Per a això s'ha aplicat en una mostra de 1319 adolescents d'edats compreses entre els 11 i els 16 anys una bateria d'instruments. En aquest article s'exposa, a tall d'exemple, un dels models d'equacions estructurals calculats en aquesta investigació. En concret s'analitza l'efecte directe i l'indirecte del clima familiar en la conducta violenta entre iguals i en el context escolar.

El present treball se centra a realitzar una revisió sistemàtica de la literatura, referent a la intervenció prosocial en estudiants a etapes preuniversitàries. El principal objectiu és analitzar les propostes d’intervenció prosocial en Educació Infantil, Primària i Secundària, i observar els efectes que tenen sobre la conducta. Gambling Disorder is a prevalent non-substance use disorder, which contrasts with the low number of people requesting treatment. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) could help to enhance the dissemination of evidence-based treatments and considerably reduce the costs.
