Rigidité, comptage et équidistribution de chaînes de Cartan quaternioniques

We prove an analog of Cartan's theorem, saying that the chain-preserving transformations of the boundary of the quaternionic hyperbolic spaces are projective transformations. We give a counting and equidistribution result for the orbits of arithmetic chains in the quaternionic Heisenberg group.; Nous montrons un analogue d'un théorème de Cartan, disant que les transformations préservant les chaînes sur le bord d'un espace hyperbolique quaternionien est une transformation projective. Nous donnons un résultat de comptage et d'équidistribution pour une orbite de chaînes arithmétiques dans le groupe de Heisenberg quaternionique.
Extremal properties of the determinant of the Laplacian in the Bergman metric on the moduli space of genus two Riemann surfaces

We study extremal properties of the determinant of the Laplacian in the Bergman metric on the moduli space of compact genus two Riemann surfaces. By a combination of analytical and numerical methods we identify four non-degenerate critical points of this function and compute the signature of the Hessian at these points. The curve with the maximal number of automorphisms (the Burnside curve) turns out to be the point of the absolute maximum. Our results agree with the mass formula for orbifold Euler characteristics of the moduli space. A similar analysis is performed for the Bolza's strata of symmetric Riemann surfaces of genus two.

The aim of the study was to determine the chemical composition of lemon, rosewood, geranium and rosemary oils, and compare their effect on the sensitivity of Fusarium graminearum ZALF 24 and Fusarium graminearum ZALF 339 isolated from infected cereals. The tested oils were added to Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium at concentrations of 0.125%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1.0% and 2.0%. The activity of the oils on inhibition of the linear growth of mycelium was evaluated by measuring the growth of fungal colonies (growth index), while the fungistatic activity was evaluated on the basis of the percentage growth inhibition of a fungal colony and calculated according to Abbott’s formula. Stackelberg Equilibrium with Many Leaders and Followers. The Case of Setup Costs

I provide conditions that guarantee that a Stackelberg game with a setup cost and an integer number of leaders and followers has an equilibrium in pure strategies. The main feature of the game is that when the marginal follower leaves the market the price jumps up, so that a leader’s payoff is neither continuous nor quasiconcave. To show existence I check that a leader’s value function satisfies the following single crossing condition: When the other leaders produce more the leader never accommodates entry of more followers. Transition form factor of the hydrogen Rydberg atom

The form factor for the transition between the hydrogenic states with parabolic quantum numbers n{sub 1}n{sub 2}m and n{sub 1}{sup {prime}}n{sub 2}{sup {prime}}m{sup {prime}} is obtained in a closed analytic form. The asymptotic limit of the transition form factor at large parabolic quantum numbers is derived, and a comparison with exact quantum calculations shows that the asymptotic limit is accurate in a wide region of parabolic quantum numbers and the momentum p transferred to electrons. Reconstructing Moral Development—Kohlberg Meets Oevermann

Biography and biographical research are also part of the work of the late Lawrence Kohlberg. Coming from developmental research in terms of morality, i.e. justice, at the end of his career he became interested in some holistic (biographical) concepts of development, putting different research traditions such as those represented by Erik H. Erikson, James Marcia, William Perry and others and his own research together. It is in this direction that we are going to focus our research.

Kohlberg’s approach to moral development and moral education continues to stimulate researchers and educators worldwide. His work still offers knowledge, methods and inspirations for understanding moral cognition and behavior, and how to foster it. This volume examines aspects of Kohlberg’s moral stage developmental theory and his theory of moral education to revisit their strengths and weaknesses in light of new questions and methods.

Il contributo intende offrire alcuni spunti di indagine sul rapporto fra Bergman e la musica, focalizzandosi sul film "Sussurri e grida" del 1972 e allargandosi a una meditazione più ampia incentrata sulla presenza di alcune tematiche ricorrenti (l'infanzia, la morte, il ricordo). A fungere da 'trait d’union' è la concezione del tempo che Bergman elabora all’interno del film e che assume particolare rilievo alla luce del ruolo che vi ricopre la "Mazurka in La minore op. 17 n. 4" di Chopin.
