The essay presents the projects developed in the Architectural Design Laboratory 2 (Prof. Fabio Guarrera) by the students of the Architecture Department of the University of Palermo. The goal is the experimentation of building replacement actions and morphological reconfigurations in the Albergheria district of Palermo. A neighborhood characterized by urban decay that awaits redemption. The text contains theoretical reflections on the transformation of deteriorated historical centres.

Sea Palace, una perla sul mare

Trattasi della pubblicazione di una struttura turistica alberghiera realizzata sul lungomare di Cefalù. L'albergo a quattro stelle, con 67 camere e 6 suite presenta una notevole quantità di servizi, Lo studio tipologico, considerate le condizioni del lotto e le prescrizioni di P.R.G., si è basato sull'idea di ruotare le camere di 45° rispetto all'asse longitudinale per ottenere, in quasi tutte, la "vista mare " . Inoltre i ballatoi sono caratterizzati da "affacci interni" che mettono in comunicazione i vari livelli, attraversando l'intera altezza dell'edificio. Innovative Observers for Induction Motor Control

In this thesis the problem of designing observers and controllers for induction motors has been studied and thoroughly discussed using tools from the nonlinear system theory, both for analysis and control purposes. Useful techniques have been used to identify the machine parameters off-line. In the Introduction was dealt the design a control system for a drive of asynchronous machines that uses a voltage source inverter to generate the currents and voltages which carry the drive by making use of an observer of the state rotor variables. Electron structure, ultra-dense hydrogen and low energy nuclear reactions

In this paper, a simple Zitterbewegung electron model, proposed in a previous work, is presented from a different perspective based on the principle of mass- frequency equivalence. A geometric- electromagnetic interpretation of mass, relativistic mass, De Broglie wavelength, Proca, Klein- Gordon, Dirac and Aharonov- Bohm equations in agreement with the model is proposed. A non-relativistic, Zitterbewegung interpretation of the 3.7 keV deep hydrogen level found by J. Naudts is presented. According to this perspective, ultra-dense hydrogen can be conceived as a coherent chain of bosonic electrons with protons or deuterons located in the center of their Zitterbewegung orbits.
