Il saggio prende le mosse dal rifiuto di Franca Viola di sottostare al matrimonio come atto “riparatorio" alla violenza subita, che aveva il potere di derubricare giuridicamente lo stupro perpetrato dal carnefice ma, soprattutto, di riammettere la vittima, in un contesto sociale, pronto, in caso contrario, ad escluderla e stigmatizzarla.
