CiNetView - Graphic Interface for Wireless Sensor Network Deployment and Monitoring

Reliable communication is crucial for successful deployment of a wireless sensor network. Many environmental factors can affect the performance of radio links, and the deployment of a network without real-time information about link qualities can be a demanding task. This paper describes the CiNetView application that is intended to support the deployment and monitoring of wireless sensor network. CiNetView is based on diagnostic information collected by sensor nodes, and it allows the user to see a graphical presentation of the network topology and to monitor the network diagnostic information in real time.

Electronic properties and mobile defects distribution in amorphous semiconducting passive films

A study of the electronic properties of thin (drop 25 nm) a-WO3 and a-Nb2O5 is presented. Based on theory of amorphous semiconductor Schottky barrier the fitting of admittance curves in a large range of electrode potential (around 9 V) and a.c. frequency (100 Hz - 10 kHz) is performed. A density of electronic state distribution (DOS) is derived, which mimics the mobile defects distribution suggested by the classical high field model of oxides growth.

A novel two-step knowledge-based exploratory framework is proposed in this paper for studying quality of Italian Mobile Telecommunication Services (MTSs). Particularly, the Delphi technique is initially considered to finalize an overall quality structure of MTSs features, indicators and drivers, herein described on the basis of a comprehensive review of the fundamental references for the field, and also to select the key elements with reference to the Italian context. The effects of mobile banking application user satisfaction and system usage on bank-customer relationships

This study examines mobile banking (m-banking) application usage in Finland by linking it with customer-bank relationship development. Specifically, we examine how usage is related to relationship commitment, overall satisfaction, intention to recommend the bank and future intentions to remain with the bank. A survey was used to collect data from experienced mbanking application users. In total, 273 valid responses were received. The results support the hypotheses and reveal that user satisfaction with m-banking application usage has a strong positive association with usage of m-banking applications. The purpose of this chapter is to explore aspects of user perceptions of their use of location-based services. As mobile technologies become more ubiquitous in the general population, it is reasonable to assume that individuals will consume services and software to enhance their aspirations and entertainment desires. This study begins by constructing a location-based service prototype simulation. Mobile commerce is an emerging field in its early stages, but there are a number of ideas of what is going to constitute the key success factors for the actors in the global m-commerce arena. This arena is already growing diversified with a number of application areas, which are growing in different directions and at different paces. We understand already that B2B, B2E, B2C and P2P will produce rather different types of applications, because the propositions for value-added products and services are quite different. Barriers to the use of mobile sales force automation systems: a salesperson’s perspective

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the barriers associated with the adoption and use of mobile sales force automation (SFA) systems from a salesperson’s perspective. Design/methodology/approach – A qualitative investigation of two business-to-business companies was conducted. Data collected from ten semi-structured interviews with directors or sales managers were analyzed to understand the main barriers to SFA system adoption.
