Paving the way of systems biology and precision medicine in allergic diseases: The MeDALL success story

2016

MeDALL Mechanisms of the Development of ALLergy; EU FP7-CP-IP; Project No: 261357; 20 (10) -2015 proposed an innovative approach to develop early indicators for the prediction, diagnosis, prevention and targets for therapy(.) MeDALL linked epidemiological, clinical and basic research using a stepwise, large-scale and integrative approach: precisely phenotyped children followed in 14 birth cohorts spread across Europe were combined with systems biology omics, IgE measurement using micro-arrays and environmental data(.) Multimorbidity in the same child is more common than expected by chance alone, suggesting that these diseases share causal mechanisms irrespective of IgE sensitisation(.) IgE …

2017

The decision analyzed affects damages forthe born child because of the impossibility for the mother to exercise the right to abortion, as the diagnosis was missing and she was not aware of the hard risk for her physical and psychological health coming from the birth of a child affected by “down syndrome”. The Italian Method of la drammatica: its Legacy and Reception

2014

The volume The Italian Method of la drammatica: its Legacy and Reception includes the long and complex investigation to identify the Italian acting-code system of the drammatica used by nineteenth-century Italian actors such as Adelaide Ristori Giovanni Grasso Tommaso Salvini Eleonora Duse. In particular their acting inspired Stanislavky who reformed twentieth-century stage. The declamatory code of the drammatica was composed by symbols for notation of voice and gesture which Italian actors marked in their prompt-books. The discovery of the drammatica’s code sheds new light on nineteenth-century acting. Having deciphered the phonetic symbols of the code Anna Sica has given birth an investigation with a group of outstanding scholars in an attempt to explore the drammatica’s legacy and its reception in Europe as well as in Asia. At this stage new evidence has emerged proving that for instance the symbol used by the drammatica actors to sign the colorito vocale was known to English actors in the second half of the nineteenth century. By noting how Adelaide Ristori passed on her art to Irving’s actress Genevieve Ward and how Stanislavsky almost aflame moulded his system from Duse’s acting an unexplored variety in the reception of the drammatica’s legacy is revealed.Settore L-ART/05 - Discipline Dello Spettacolo

Fear of Childbirth, Self-Esteem and Birth Experiences: Pregnancy and Postpartum

2022

This dataset contains all three phases of data collection from the survey study Fear of Childbirth, Birth Experiences, Self-Esteem and Parental Burnout. The data contains answers from participants (n=125) in late pregnancy (30+ weeks in gestation) and postpartum (4-8 weeks after childbirth and 1 year after childbirth). The data is collected in 2020-2021 from four Finnish cities. Participants have completed background information (in pregnancy), fear of childbirth scale (W-DEQ, all three time points), Rosenberg self-esteem scale (all three time points), and Delivery Satisfaction scale (only 4-8 weeks postpartum). In addition, the data contains variables such as depression (BDI), satisfaction…
