This study emphasises the cosmic dimensions of the Church understood as the Throne of God, analysing its understanding in this way by the great writers and thinkers of the ancient world, for example, Philo the Alexandrine, Saint Dionysius the Areopagite and Saint Irene of Lyon. Artykuł przedstawia historyczny zarys powstania i obecnego funkcjonowania Biblioteki im. Arcybiskupa Alfonsa Nossola w Kamieniu Śląskim, która stanowi część Centrum Kultury i Nauki Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego. Przybliżono historię budynku położonego w kompleksie pałacowo-parkowym, a także sylwetkę miłośnika książek i darczyńcy. Następnie opisano organizację zasobów, źródła kolekcji, układ, strukturę oraz szczegółowe cechy kolekcji. Zaprezentowano także system informacyjny, obsługę i użytkowników biblioteki. At the end of the Middle Ages, the manner in which the courts of justice punished rapists clearly shows how seriously such crimes were judged at that time. Endeavoring to increase their juristic power and worrying that the propagation of rape would corrupt the entire society and threaten its survival, impelled the judges and their officials —princes, bishops, and municipal bodies — to deal with all complaints and to initiate inquiries about them. The Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property for bilinear forms and polynomials

For a $\sigma$-finite measure $\mu$ and a Banach space $Y$ we study the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property (BPBP) for bilinear forms on $L_1(\mu)\times Y$, that is, a (continuous) bilinear form on $L_1(\mu)\times Y$ almost attaining its norm at $(f_0,y_0)$ can be approximated by bilinear forms attaining their norms at unit vectors close to $(f_0,y_0)$. In case that $Y$ is an Asplund space we characterize the Banach spaces $Y$ satisfying this property. We also exhibit some class of bilinear forms for which the BPBP does not hold, though the set of norm attaining bilinear forms in that class is dense.

Andrzej Lipski (1572–1631) pochodził ze średnioszlacheckiej rodziny wyznania lute- rańskiego. Studiował na uczelniach protestanckich (1582–1594 – Strasburg, Heidelberg) i katolickich (1603–1605 – Rzym), uzyskując doktorat obojga praw. Karierę Lipskiego w kancelarii koronnej przyspieszyło przejście na katolicyzm, obranie stanu duchowego i protekcja biskupa-podkanclerzego Piotra Tylickiego, wpływowego stronnika kanclerza Jana Zamoyskiego.
