Gradient Estimate for Solutions to Poisson Equations in Metric Measure Spaces

Let $(X,d)$ be a complete, pathwise connected metric measure space with locally Ahlfors $Q$-regular measure $\mu$, where $Q>1$. Suppose that $(X,d,\mu)$ supports a (local) $(1,2)$-Poincar\'e inequality and a suitable curvature lower bound. For the Poisson equation $\Delta u=f$ on $(X,d,\mu)$, Moser-Trudinger and Sobolev inequalities are established for the gradient of $u$. The local H\"older continuity with optimal exponent of solutions is obtained.

Simple Summary Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extra-cranial solid paediatric cancer and is responsible for 15% of childhood cancer deaths. Patients with NB are characterized by presenting a very heterogeneous clinic (inter-tumoural heterogeneity) and also both spatial and temporal intra-tumour heterogeneity (ITH) reflected in their genetic aberrations, which may be the consequence of the coexistence of different microenvironments within the tumour. Optimizing Sequential Systemic Therapies for Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Decision Analysis

Background: An optimal sequential systemic therapy for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been discovered. We developed a decision model based on available clinical trials to identify an optimal risk/benefit strategy for sequences of novel systemic agents. Methods: A Markov model was built to simulate overall survival (OS) among patients with advanced HCC. This paper tests hysteresis effects in unemployment using panel data for 19 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries covering the period 1956–2001. The tests exploit the cross-sectional variations of the series, and additionally, allow for a different number of endogenous breakpoints in the unemployment series. The critical values are simulated based on our specific panel sizes and time periods. The findings stress the importance of accounting for exogenous shocks in the series and support the natural-rate hypothesis of unemployment for the majority of the countries analysed.

The activation of chloride (Cl-)permeable gamma (γ)-aminobutyric acid type A(GABAA) receptors induces synaptic inhibition in mature and excitation in immature neurons. This developmental "switch" in GABA function controlled by its polarity depends on the postnatal decrease in intraneuronal Cl- concentration mediated by KCC2, a member of cation-chloride cotransporters (CCCs). The serine-threonine kinase WNK3 (With No Lysine [K]), is a potent regulator of all CCCs and is expressed in neurons.
