Towards a new classification of Salvia s.l.: (re)establishing the genus Pleudia Raf.
2015
Salvia L. In its traditional circumscription is the largest genus within the mint family. To date, the magnitude of the task has rendered it difficult to provide a genus-wide revision based on morphological data. Current molecular investigations based on a dense taxon sampling representing the whole phenotypic diversity and distribution range of Salvia confirmed that the genus is polyphyletic. Salvia species fall in 4 distinct clades, although all of them, except Clade IV, also include non-Salvia genera. A taxonomic revision is thus urgently needed with two different approaches that have to be considered: (1) to include the 5 morphologically distinct non-Salvia genera in Salvia or (2) to sp…
A local approach to a class of locally finite groups
2003
This paper is devoted to the study of a class of generalised P-nilpotent groups in the universe cℒ̄ of all radical locally finite groups satisfying min-q for every prime q. Some results of finite groups are extended and a characterisation of the injectors associated with this class is given.
Finite groups with subgroups supersoluble or subnormal
2009
Abstract The aim of this paper is to study the structure of finite groups whose non-subnormal subgroups lie in some subclasses of the class of finite supersoluble groups.
A Local Approach to Certain Classes of Finite Groups
2003
Abstract We develop several local approaches for the three classes of finite groups: T-groups (normality is a transitive relation) and PT-groups (permutability is a transitive relation) and PST-groups (S-permutability is a transitive relation). Here a subgroup of a finite group G is S-permutable if it permutes with all the Sylow subgroup of G.

A class of finite groups having nilpotent injectors
1986
AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to construct a class of groups which properly contains the class of N-constrained groups, and which is such that all groups in this class have N-injectors.
Algorithms for permutability in finite groups
2013
In this paper we describe some algorithms to identify permutable and Sylow-permutable subgroups of finite groups, Dedekind and Iwasawa finite groups, and finite T-groups (groups in which normality is transitive), PT-groups (groups in which permutability is transitive), and PST-groups (groups in which Sylow permutability is transitive). These algorithms have been implemented in a package for the computer algebra system GAP.

Uncountable existentially closed groups in locally finite group classes
1990
In this paper, will always denote a local class of locally finite groups, which is closed with respect to subgroups, homomorphic images, extensions, and with respect to cartesian powers of finite -groups. Examples for x are the classes L ℐπ of all locally finite π-groups and L(ℐπ ∩ ) of all locally soluble π-groups (where π is a fixed set of primes). In [4], a wreath product construction was used in the study of existentially closed -groups (=e.c. -groups); the restrictive type of construction available in [4] permitted results for only countable groups. This drawback was then removed partially in [5] with the help of permutational products. Nevertheless, the techniques essentially only per…
