Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL, a.k.a Lnc2) is a member of the lipocalin family which has diverse roles including stabilizing matrix metalloproteinase-9 from auto-degradation and as siderocalins which are important in the transport of iron. NGAL also has important biological functions involved in immunity and inflammation as well as responses to kidney damage. NGAL expression has also been associated with certain neoplasia and is important in the metastasis of breast cancer. Many advanced cancer patients have elevated levels of NGAL in their urine and it has been proposed that NGAL may be a prognostic indicator for certain cancers (e.g. breast, brain, and others). Recent research has studied the influence of office buildings indoor environment quality (IEQ) on employees’ well-being, health and performance. However, it seems that it has not been explicitly explored what are the appropriate environmental conditions to different work patterns that coexist in these spaces. International audience; Le d13C est un outil fréquemment utilisé pour établir des échelles de temps astronomiques en milieu (hémi-) pélagique. Pourtant le lien entre d13C et forçage astronomique n’est pas toujours clair, tant les sources de carbone sont multiples. Nous avons comparé le d13C à la susceptibilité magnétique (SM) et aux cortèges argileux dans les séries marno-calcaires du Valanginien du Bassin Vocontien (SE France). Ces deux signaux sont fréquemment utilisés pour détecter un forçage astronomique dans les alternances marno-calcaires. Mesure de la performance des agences bancaires par une approche DEA

Using a DEA framework (Data Envelopment Analysis), we develop new performance indicators for integrated retail networks. A methodological discussion leads us to propose a productivity indicator which respects the criteria of controllability and transversal coherence. We then formalise the relationship between a performance indicator of a network's headquarters and the productivity of its various retailers. Finally, we combine these new indicators in crafting a management tool amenable to a system of balanced scorecards.

29 p.; Our paper analyse the evolution of the main labour variables in French region of Rhône-Alps for different age groups. We carry out an empirical analysis of the evolution of the labour segmentation patterns between 1995 and 2007, based on administrative records. Our aim is to compare evolution of regional employment model by age groups, sex and economic branches. We analyse inequalities in wages and contract-stability, in a global point of view and focusing in the emergent tertiary sectors of tourism, transport and personal services. Since 2003, an important deposit of arms and severed heads has been under excavation at Le Cailar, a protohistoric port of trade in eastern Languedoc, in Mediterranean Gaul. This deposit, dated to the 3rd century BC, consists of many skeletal remains and a great quantity of metal objects, mostly weapons. The study of these remains will teach us a lot about protohistoric ritual practices.
