Linosa, isola dell'arcipelago delle Pelagie, vanta un'antica tradizione agricola basata su sistemi colturali tradizionali legati a poche colture agrarie (ortive, vite, cappero, ecc.). Per salvaguardare e valorizzare tali produzioni, il Consorzio Co.Ri.S.S.I.A. di Palermo ha intrapreso uno studio sul cappero linosano (Capparis spinosa L. subsp. rupestris). La prova è stata condotta somministrando schede-questionario ad un campione rappresentativo di produttori di cappero locali unitamente ad indagini esporative sul territorio. Determination of glyphosate in water samples with the combination of cation-exchange chromatography and capillary electrophoresis

An analytical method for determination of pesticide Glyphosate in water as a combination of cation-exchange chromatography and capillary electrophoresis is presented. Pure water was spiked with Glyphosate at concentrations 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mM and percolated through a strong cation-exchange column packed with Dowex 50WX4-400 resin in its H+ form. The extract was further analyzed by capillary electrophoresis in indirect detection mode. The calibration curve for the pesticide in the range 0.1–2.5 mM was linear and with high degree of reproducibility. The obtained recoveries for all the studied concentrations amount 85%. The paper studies the mechanisms that govern the interactions between the entrepreneur (novice or expert) and the specific investors of emerging firms (business angels (BAs) and venture-capital firms (VCs)). Combining both literatures on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial finance, our aim is to understand if the rationalities of these three actors help them or not to interact, and, to study how they influence each other during the firm's growth. Preliminary investigations on grapevines (CV Catarratto) with symptoms of “esca” permitted to isolate only bacterial colonies, from black punctuations belonging to the genus Bacillus. Particularly, an isolate was Gram-positive with spore forming and, on the basis of the partial 16S rRNA sequence comparison, it showed a similarity of 99% with Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis. There are numerous reports on the antagonistic activity of the species towards several phytopathogenic microorganisms.
