Abstract A capillary electrophoresis–mass spectrometry method for determining procymidone and thiabendazole in apples, grapes, oranges, pears, strawberries and tomatoes is described. Separation is achieved using a buffer of formic acid–ammonium formate at pH 3.5 with 2% of methanol. Fungicide residues present in the sample are preconcentrated by both solid-phase extraction and injection of large sample volumes into the capillary by a stacking technique, to obtain lower detection limits. Ionization is performed at atmospheric pressure in an electrospray type source and detection is carried out using positive ionization and selected ion monitoring modes. Knowledge of soil hydraulic conductivity in the vadose zone is important in many agronomic, engineering and environmental areas. Transient tension infiltrometer experiments can be used to estimate the hydraulic conductivity, K0, corresponding to a given pressure head by the single-test (TST) method that uses the coefficients C1 and C2 of the two-term infiltration equation. The “Differentiated Linearization” (DL) method has been proposed to estimate these coefficients when a layer of contact material is used for the experiment. A rugged and high throughput capillary column (cLC) LC-MS switching platform using large volume injection and on-line automatic filtration and filter back-flush (AFFL) solid phase extraction (SPE) for analysis of environmental water samples with minimal sample preparation is presented. The enantiomeric resolution of compounds using HSA by means of affinity EKC (AEKC)-partial filling technique is the result of a delicate balance between different experimental variables such as protein concentration, running pH (background electrophoretic buffer (BGE), protein, and compound solutions), and plug length. Purpose - The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of an entrepreneur's social capital on their access to information, and how such access improves the performance of their entrepreneurial project. Incentive Properties of Residual Income when There is an Option to Wait

Performance measures based on residual income are increasingly popular. The academic literature shows that residual income has important incentive properties when management bases investment decisions on the net present value (NPV) rule. My analysis focuses on the case in which investment decisions can be postponed, when management must extend the simple NPV rule by considering an option value. My analysis shows that some important incentive properties of residual income still hold when there is an option to wait, but only when the residual income measure is correctly adjusted.
