Designing a Multi‐Sided Platform business model assessment framework: a Dynamic Performance Management perspective
2019
The purpose of this research is to offer an assessment framework to validate multisided platform business models. For this aim, we propose a systemic perspective based on the dynamic performance management approach. This approach is particularly effective to make explicit the net of relationships between internal and external strategic resources, the value creation and capture drivers, and the way such drivers influence platform performances. The developed multisided platform business model assessment framework has been tested by using a success and a failure case, respectively, Airbnb and Take Eat Easy. Research originality results from the combination of multisided platform value creation…
Electronic Relaxation Phenomena Following 57Co(EC)57Fe Nuclear Decay in [MnII(terpy)2](ClO4)2·1/2H2O and in the Spin Crossover Complexes [CoII(terpy)…
2001
The valence states of the nucleogenic 57Fe arising from the nuclear disintegration of radioactive 57Co by electron capture decay, 57Co(EC)57Fe, have been studied by Mossbauer emission spectroscopy (MES) in the 57Co-labeled systems: [57Co/Co(terpy)2]Cl2·5H2O (1), [57Co/Co(terpy)2](ClO4)2·1/2H2O (2), and [57Co/Mn(terpy)2](ClO4)2· 1/2H2O (3) (terpy = 2,2‘:6‘,2‘ ‘-terpyridine). The compounds 1, 2, and 3 were labeled with ca. 1 mCi of 57Co and were used as the Mossbauer sources at variable temperatures between 300 K and ca. 4 K. [Fe(terpy)2]X2 is a diamagnetic low-spin (LS) complex, independent of the nature of the anion X, while [Co(terpy)2]X2 complexes show gradual spin transition as the temp…
Gas chromatographic determination of organochlorine pesticides in cow milk.
2004
A gas chromatographic method of use in determining the following organochlorine pesticides in cow milk has been adapted and validated: alpha-hexachlorocyclohexane (alpha-HCH), beta-HCH, lindane, delta-HCH, hexachlorobenzene, aldrin, heptachlor, heptachlor epoxide, mirex, 2,4-dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (2,4-DDT), 4,4-DDT, 2,4-dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane (2,4-DDD), 4,4-DDD, 2,4-dichlorodiphenylethane (2,4-DDE) and 4,4-DDE. The method studied consists of three steps: the extraction of fat by centrifugation, mixing with anhydrous sodium sulfate, and transfer to a glass column and elution with hexane; purification of the extract via concentrated sulfuric acid treatment; and determination…
Institutional Entrepreneurship, Trust, and Regulatory Capture in the Digital Economy
2019
In regard to the problem of the new markets' opening and their regulation, some scholars have introduced the concept of “institutional entrepreneur” in economic literature. This new definition of entrepreneur is important to highlight, albeit in informal and descriptive terms, the existence of functional relationships between activities typical of private market competition and those more specifically, of the public sector. Even if this new economic character can provide an interesting key to understanding what can really happen in the narrow zone that separates the public and private markets, it does not consider some conceptual components that are not minor for the purposes of complete ch…
Lambda-doublet specificity in the low-temperature capture of NO(X Π21/2) in low rotational states by C+ ions
2009
Following our general approach to Lambda-doubling specificity in the capture of dipolar molecules by ions [M. Auzinsh et al., J. Chem. Phys. 128, 184304 (2008)], we calculate the rate coefficients for the title process in the temperature range 10(-4)<T<10(2) K. Three regimes considered are as follows: (i) nonadiabatic capture in the regime of high-field Stark effect with respect to the Lambda-doubling components, (10(-1)<T<10(2) K), (ii) adiabatic capture in the regime of intermediate Stark effect (10(-3)<T<10(-1) K), and (iii) adiabatic capture in the limit of very low temperatures (T<<10(-3) K) in the regime of quadratic Stark effect with respect to the Lambda-doubling and hyperfine compo…
Removal of Cypermethrin from Water by Using Fucus Spiralis Marine Alga
2019
Alpha-cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that was extensively used for insect control, since the early 1980s. However, it is known that its presence in the environment has toxic effects on humans and aquatic life forms. For this reason, it is commendable for it to be removed completely from the contaminated environment. In this study, we evaluated the adsorption capacity of a marine alga for the removal of cypermethrin from water. The adsorption experiments were performed based on the batch equilibrium technique. The samples containing the pesticide were analyzed using gas chromatography with an electron capture detector, after liquid-liquid extraction in hexane. The results obtained fr…
Beta-delayed proton emission observed in new lanthanide isotopes
1984
The following new, beta-delayed proton emitters have been observed at the on-line isotope separator OASIS:120La (2.8±2s),122La (8.7±7s),123Ce (3.8±2s),141Dy (1.0±2s),141Gd, and143Dy (3.2±6s). Z-identification was achieved through observation of characteristic x-rays in coincidence with protons.
Head movements in Finnish Sign Language on the basis of Motion Capture data
2015
This paper reports a study of the forms and functions of head movements produced in the dimension of depth in Finnish Sign Language (FinSL). Specifically, the paper describes and analyzes the phonetic forms and prosodic, grammatical, communicative, and textual functions of nods, head thrusts, nodding, and head pulls occurring in FinSL data consisting of a continuous dialogue recorded with motion capture technology. The analysis yields a novel classification of the kinematic characteristics and functional properties of the four types of head movement. However, it also reveals that there is no perfect correspondence between form and function in the head movements investigated.
Airvaboles Cybister lateralimarginalis De Geer, 1774 sastopamība mikrobiotopos Līņezerā, izmantojot 5 L pudeļu lamatas
2017
Bakalaura darba “Airvaboles Cybister lateralimarginalis De Geer, 1774 sastopamība mikrobiotopos Līņezerā, izmantojot 5 l pudeļu lamatas” izstrāde un materiālu ievākšana notika Garkalnes novada Līņezerā. Materiāls vākts no 2016. gada 5. augusta līdz 2016. gada 1. septembrim.
The Hamburg/ESO R-process Enhanced Star survey (HERES):XI. The highly r-process-enhanced star CS 29497-004
2017
We report an abundance analysis for the highly r-process-enhanced (r-II) star CS 29497-004, a very metal-poor giant with Teff = 5013K and [Fe/H]=-2.85, whose nature was initially discovered in the course of the HERES project. Our analysis is based on high signal-to-noise, high-resolution (R~75000) VLT/UVES spectra and MARCS model atmospheres under the assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium, and obtains abundance measurements for a total of 46 elements, 31 of which are neutron-capture elements. As is the case for the other 25 r-II stars currently known, the heavy-element abundance pattern of CS 29497-004 well-matches a scaled Solar System second peak r-process-element abundance patter…
