Peptidic ligands selectively targeting distinct G protein-coupled receptors that are highly expressed in tumor tissue represent a promising approach in drug delivery. Receptor-preferring analogues of neuropeptide Y (NPY) bind and activate the human Y1 receptor subtype (hY1 receptor), which is found in 90% of breast cancer tissue and in all breast-cancer-derived metastases. Discovery of the new isotopes ²⁴⁰Es and ²³⁶Bk and in-beam spectroscopic studies of ²⁴⁴Cf

The hitherto unknown neutron-deficient nuclei 240Es and 236Bk were synthesised using the fusion-evaporation reaction 209Bi(34S,3n)240Es. The ritu gas-filled recoil separator and the great spectrometer were used in this decay spectroscopic study. The measured electron-capture delayed fission (ECDF) branches in both of the new isotopes complement the experimental data available in the heavier odd-odd Es and Bk isotopes. Furthermore, the ECDF branches show a continuation in the exponential increase of the ECDF probabilities as a function of QEC − Bsf when approaching the proton dripline. The Relation Between Emotional Valence and Performance Motion of the Keyboard Instrument

This study examined relations of the emotion and part of the upper body during the keyboard instrument performance. The study showed the trace from the lateral direction to watch movement. As a result, there was a difference in the emotional expression of the performance in the head and upper arm. In this way, we understood that the part except the hand was important to emotional expression in the keyboard instrument performance. The future investigation is going to analyze the front.

Influences of rhythm- and timbre-related musical features on characteristics of music-induced movement

Music makes us move. Several factors can affect the characteristics of such movements, including individual factors or musical features. For this study, we investigated the effect of rhythm- and timbre-related musical features as well as tempo on movement characteristics. Sixty participants were presented with 30 musical stimuli representing different styles of popular music, and instructed to move along with the music. Optical motion capture was used to record participants’ movements. Experimental test on the use of MS-222 for ostracod anaesthesia: concentration, immersion period and recovery time

Anaesthesia of animals may be useful for different purposes, particularly for veterinary reasons or in experimental research, for manipulation or treatment of immobilized but alive animals. Its use in crustaceans is not uncommon, but it has never been described for Ostracoda. We provide brief and preliminary guidelines on the use of the tricaine mesylate (MS-222) on the widespread freshwater ostracod Eucypris virens and we show that this compound is an effective anaesthetic used as a bath treatment at minimum concentrations of 500 mg L-1. Pleasurable and Intersubjectively Embodied Experiences of Electronic Dance Music

How do dancers engage with electronic dance music (EDM) when dancing? This paper reports on an empirical study of dancers' pleasurable engagement with three structural properties of EDM: (1) breakdown, (2) build-up, and (3) drop. Sixteen participants danced to a DJ mix in a club-like environment, and the group’s bodily activity was recorded with an infrared, marker-based motion capture system. After they danced, the subjects filled out questionnaires about the pleasure they experienced and their relative desire to move while dancing. <p>Techniques based on motion capture can be useful in <span><span style="font-size: x-small;">analyzing a wide range of musical styles and practices</span></span>: in this case, Transylvanian village music. We focused on a repertoire known as “Gypsy songs of sorrow”, played by professional Gypsy musicians during parties and celebrations of their own community.
