Summary Myrtaceae honeys produced in Sierra Morena (southern Spain, Andalusia) are obtained from both Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Myrtus communis, and honeys can be easily confused when classified as they come from the same botanical family. The characterisation was intended on the basis of their physicochemical, sensory and palynological properties. Cluster analysis (CA) and principal component analysis (PCA) allowed us to make a distinction between two honey profiles. A strain of Neofusicoccum parvum isolated from declining vines was pathogenic to grapevine cultivar Inzolia in Sicily. This strain produced some metabolites in liquid medium. Crude extract, through a bio-guided purification process, yielded four naphthalenone polyketides. Pēdējo gadu laikā par vienu no nopietnākajiem sabiedrības veselības apdraudējumiem visā pasaulē un arī Latvijā tiek uzskatīta antimikrobā rezistence. Arvien biežāk tiek ziņots par slimnīcas apstākļos iegūtām antibakteriālo līdzekļu rezistentu Enterobacteriaceae celmu izraisītām infekcijām. Pētījuma mērķis bija raksturot paplašināta spektra beta laktamāzes (ESBL) producējošās Enterobacteriaceae dzimtas baktērijas zarnu mikrobiotā. After the studying the original material of Orobanche centaurina Bertol. (Orobanchaceae) deposited in BOLO, a forgotten species described from Massa (Central Italy) parasitizing Centaurea paniculata L., and compared it with the type of O. kochii F.W. Schultz and with the types of others taxa actually considered synonyms of this, we concluded that the name of Bertoloni is the correct one for this species.
